I heart Ruthie Sundays!

Well another Ruthie Sunday has come and gone. And of course I'm obliged to show pictures of my progress! :D (Once again it is a cloudy and rainy day here, so the pictures are not the brightest. I can never decide if it's better to just take the pictures in the clouds or to use the flash. What do you think?)

I finished a satin stitch row of letters! And then I discovered that the chain row of satin stitches underneath was nice and mindless so I did some of that as well.

Ruthie is such a pretty lady! I'm finding it really enjoyable to have just that one Sunday a week for her -- it seems to work for me very well! There are a few other ladies joining Paulette and me (I?) for this Sunday Ruthie day, so it's nice!

I hope everyone survived turning the clocks ahead. Can't believe we have to wake up in the dark again for a few more weeks. Groan!!!!

I love the colors too in this sampler. Wish that I had joined you, but I'm learning I'm a SAL-type of girl! Love your progress!

Wow Margaret. You are making such beautiful progress. You are making me wish I had gotten the silk kit though!!

Ruthie is beautiful, Margaret! You're just zipping along.

I can so relate to the dark days dilemma in regards to pic taking. I take most of my pictures under my daylight lamp, most times with the flash.

I've just admired Nicole's progress on Ruthie, and now I also see her here. What a great project this is!
Our change to daylight saving time will only be at the end of March. But it's the same effect: I'm so happy now that I can drive to work when it's day and when the clock goes ahead it will be dark again for some time. Sigh ...

Margaret, you're making me want to stich Ruthie.... I will not, I will not, I will not give in! Absolutely gorgeous and thanks for showing the up-close pics - I didn't think I was crazy about the colors initially but as I'm watching yours come to life, I'm changing my mind. I will not, I will not, I will not give in!!! ;~)

Yeah, I don't heart the time change either! Ruthie's looking great! It's nice when you find a design that you really love stitching isn't it?

What a beaut so far, Margaret! I love it!!! First time I ever heard of someone referring to satin stitching as mindless, but I guess with your expertise, it would be! LOL Can't wait to see next week's update!:)

Margaret - your work is simply stunning!! Love looking at all your pieces. You always bring a smile to my face...

another thought...I love your Charlotte Clayton sampler finish. I fell in love with that one too and just pulled it out this week to get started. Congratulations on a fabulous finish. LOVE IT!!

Ruthie is lovely, Margaret! And you are really flying along with her!

And I don't like this time at all... my body always stays on the normal time and I have to get up just past 4:00 in the mornings for work... so now it's just past 3:00... ughhh! It's more than a body can tolerate! lol

I usually always use my flash inside, even on sunny days. :-)

Ruthie is beautiful--those triangles look like prayer flags in Nepal.

I found so many samplers I want to stitch and have kitted up some of them. When will we ever get the time?

I saw your note to Michelle in TX about the Catherine Theron workshop--same as mine. I want to stitch the new design, but I can't go to NH and take the class--the timing doesn't work! I'm so hoping C.T. wants to sell the design after the classes!

This is so gorgeous! Does the chart show the thread requirements for both silk and cotton?
