Another Ruthie Sunday gone by. This time both Paulette and I were prepared and tackled the pretty wench, as Paulette would say. lol! I think we're both at the same place now.
And I know we're both heartily sick of satin stitch by now.
Unfortunately, Paulette tells me there are more satin stitch alphabets ahead. Which is a real bummer. Oh well. At least the next one isn't satin stitch. I hope. :D
On the This is the Day front, I finished the house section -- except for the over one in the little box area.
I don't understand how the pink and the tomato red can look good together, but they do, in a wild sort of way. I love it!!
I'm hoping to tackle more of this piece today if there's time. But thanks to Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, both of which I was rereading (or listening to) at the time, I got a good amount done Friday and Saturday.
BTW, I took these pictures under my Ott lite -- it's yet another cloudy day and I just gave up on taking the pictures by natural light.
Hope you all have a great week. And thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love to read your comments! :D

The pink and tomato red are just absolutely stunning together. I love what you are stitching, you enabler you, but I shall resist, at least for the time being. Have a great week. Love Patti xxx
Wow Margaret - YGG! I love both of your pieces! You really got a lot done this weekend! I agree with you on the house colors - I probably would have thought "What were they thinking?", but seeing them stitched together really looks great! And I love your progress on Ruthie. I know those satin stitches can drive you nuts after a while, but the end result is going to look so fabulous!!!
Wow Margaret you got a lot done on This is the Day! I'm still filling in that dang grass! :) Ruthie looks so pretty! I'm so glad I got the silks!! :)
My goodness just flying along smashingly on This Is The Day...looks great! :)
Oh my gosh! Look at how fast you are moving on This Day!! it looks wonderful and so does Ruthie!
Wonderful progress on both pieces!
I have been so looking forward to your update on Ruthie...it is so gorgeous!
And I can't believe how much you have done on This Is The Day!! You certainly have a speedy needle, you are going to leave me in the dust! It is most lovely!:)
Wow, both your samplers look great! I love the colors in both. Can't wait to see more.
Great progress! They are both so pretty!
You're making fabulous progress on your Ruthie. I got bogged down a bit with all those satin stitches, which is why my Ruthie got put aside yesterday.
Love the hot pink/tomato red house!
Lovely progress on both projects! You are one fast stitcher!
Ruthie is one beautiful babe!!!! And I love the pink and red house - darling! Think the neighbors would like it if I painted my house like that? Wouldn't you love to be just eccentric enough to do it?
I love seeing your stitching up close. Ruthie is looking fantastic.
I will be doing This is the Day in the same wild colors. I love it.
Wow, you're just zipping through both of these! This is the Day is looking gorgeous!
Sick of Ruthie? Surely not? Although I can imagine those satin stitches will become a bit of a bore :o)
This is the Day is beeeeautiful and the pink and red go very well together, as you said.
You're doing great on both! Those colours on Ruthie are gorgeous.
Gosh Margaret, that's alot of satin stitches. Beautiful job. It will all be worth it when she's ready to hang and be admired.
Ruthie is looking beeeoootiful, Margaret, as is This is the Day. The more I see Ruthie, the more I love her. Thanks for sharing your progress!
Margaret-they both look great and pink and tomato red, fabulous! I want to live in that house.
Margaret,I love both of your samplers. The colors are beautiful. I can see how satin stitches would become a problem, but think of the beautiful finish you will have.

The pink and tomato red DO go well together--who knew? And I love the floating sheep. Now I really want to stitch it...
The perfect 2 pieces to combat the late winter/early spring blahs.
Ruthie is wonderful, Margaret! I love the pictures. Your TitD is fabulous, too--I just think the house colors are happy. Love it!
Ruthie is stunningly gorgeous, Margaret! The colours are so lovely! And "This is the Day" is sooo Beautiful! I adore this Sampler... I fell in love with it when I first saw it on Siobhan's blog back in January... And I am sooo thrilled to be starting it at long last! :)
Blessings in stitches...
Oh Margaret -- both of your pieces are just delightful!! I love the colors and all of your hard work. You are a stitching nut and I just love it. Keep up the good work!! Have a great week!!!
I'm lovin' it!!! Oh I can't wait to start This is the Day!!! And Ruthie looks stunning!!!!!
Both pieces are GORGEOUS! I am trying very hard not to be tempted. Trying....trying....
Margaret your Ruthie is stunning - simply gorgeous and WOW - I can't believe how much you got done on TitD ! You keep us inspired YGG Mel
Margaret, somehow I just now see your blog for the first time, and it's a joy to read and look!
Rosie and TITD are both looking great. I think satin stitch is really a pain, but when it's done, it's nice to look at.
A little birdie told me you had a blog, and I found you! You do beautiful work, indeed. And prolific you are! Here's a link to another stitcher friend of mine: http://margarets-musings.blogspot.com/ I'll check back often:)

Hi, Margaret. I found your blog through Paulette's, and I have to say your stitching is just dreamy! I especially love your Advent sampler. WOW! It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm considering adding it to my mile-high-I-gotta-stitch-that-list. Just out of curiosity, about how long did you stitch on it?
I've also joined the mob of stitchers with the This Is The Day sampler. I received the magazine in the mail yesterday, and am pulling fabric and threads today. I really like the color changes you made from the charted version. Would it be too pushy of me to ask you for your list of colors that you used? I would be ever so grateful. :)
I have the same cactus you show in you blog header. I've had mine about two years, but it's never bloomed. Do you have to do anything special to them to make them bloom?
Anyhow, I hope you have a great weekend, and look forward to a Ruthie update.

Ruthie is making very good progress. Those satin stitches look absolutely great even if they are a pain to stitch when there are too many of them.
