June (barely) finish

Yup, I knew this would happen.  But at least I barely managed to finish Ilia in June.  The last day.

I'm very happy to be done with it, and looking forward to wearing it come fall.

In the meantime, I've been debating what to work on next.

The project on needles is the Terrace Wrap by Purl Soho.  I started it the other day during a day trip to NYC.  The skein at the top of the pic is for the Tale as Old as Time cowl.  I admit it, I envy all you sock knitters who get to use self striping yarn.  This is my chance to use some too!  There are other projects I'm contemplating as well.  Of course!

It's the same feeling you get when you finish a huge cross stitch project -- that feeling of loss.....

Happy 4th for those of you in the US!  Happy Canada Day for you Canadians!  Happy Wimbledon for tennis fans!  Two more days!!

The Terrace Wrap is very pretty Margaret, you've really caught the knitting bug. It's so easy to take knitting with you which is a bonus.

Lovely finish, Margaret. I love those cables. I also love the Terrace wrap and would love to make it but my knitting skills are sub par. Gotta stick to crossstitch.

That is one beautiful sweater! I know the feeling of finishing a project--except I usually have about ten I want to start

You finished! And it looks completely marvelous! Now I understand what you meant about the interminable ribbing - that's what, about six inches worth? If I were you, I'd be wishing today started October rather than July so I could snuggle up in it.

What a lovely finish, Margaret! It looks quite intricate. The Terrace Wrap is going to be so pretty, and I love your colorful yarn choice for the cowl! I will look forward to seeing your progress on both. Hope you had a great holiday weekend! Enjoy Wimbledon. : )

It looks wonderful, your finished sweater, Margaret. And I have looked up the new project the you have just started. OH my, such a fine and delicate piece. Whenever I see your and some other dedicated knitters' projects I think about taking up knitting again. But then, when picking up my stitching needle I know that this wouldn't be a good idea. What would become of all my stitchy projects, the ones that are started and the ones I still have in mind? Lol.

Ah-mazing sweater! I love the thick ribbing. It would look cute closed with a shawl pin. You'll definitely get plenty of use out of it this winter. Though right now it's so darn hot, I can't imagine being cold.
