But I do like what I'm seeing. I just dislike symmetrical designs where I have to stitch things twice. lol! At least the colors vary from one side to the other.
I didn't get as much done on His Eye because I started working on this. (It's from Tula Pink!)
I'm so excited about it! Here is my progress so far.
Here is my fussy cut star for the week. I re-used one of the Judie Rothermel fabrics in a different direction.
My dear father type got home from his travels to London and Greece Saturday night. I was so happy to see him! He crashed into bed soon after arrival, but caught me up on all his adventures Sunday. I think he really enjoyed himself! Here's one selfie he took in Greece.
Mia and I are happy to have him home! And I'm proud of him for being a good boy and putting sun block on religiously. Here are a couple of souvenirs he brought home for me.
He went to Buckingham Palace just for me. :D I love the tin of tea he brought home, and the tile from Lindos. I know he bought the tea tin for the right reasons. (Hint: he knows I don't drink tea. lol!)
Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Beautiful fabric for your quilt
Glad your hubby is home and used his sun block
Your stitching looks great! I normally dislike stitching things twice, so I totally understand! :)

Wow, love your new project! And your fussy star almost makes me dizzy - lol. His Eye looks great...I didn't buy the chart because I knew I would never finish it (having to stitch things twice). Glad your hubby is home safe and sound. What nice gifts he brought you!!
I dislike stitching the motifs twice too. But it does look pretty!
I'm always amazed at our paper piecing skills. No wonder you started another quilt. You did so much in one week!
And just the right gifts for you. Glad he's back home safe and sound.
Your sampler is really coming along. Very pretty! How exciting your hubby got to go to Greece! Lovely souvenirs. Mia looks like she is helping with the laundry :) Have a great week!
I agree with you Margaret, stitching the same motif again isn't much fun. At least in this design it varies a bit. I love your new choice of quilt to work on - so intricate.
His Eye is beautiful as are your heroes and the star. Love seeing all your projects!
Oh Margaret…His Eye is lovely. I MUST START !! And just so you know…you are the best enabler EVER. My Tula Pink 'hexie' quilt kit has shipped. I should be able to start it this week…along with everything else I have going. Hugs to you and sweet Mia. She's a doll.
His Eye keeps growing more beautiful! I love the tin gift hubby gave you and lovely tile. I'm amazed at your beautiful progress already on newest quilt. Pretty star!! love Annette
Fabulous quilt. Fabulous!
Well, this week, I must say that Tula Pink quilt has caught my eye. Such lovely colours and you're off to a great start! Sparrow is looking so wonderful. I too dislike symmetrical designs but it's great that Beth used different colours on each side!
Glad your DH got home safely and also had a great time and also brought home goodies for you!
His Eye looks wonderful. So does Tula and the fussy cut star.
I'm glad your husband didn't come home sunburned! I can only imagine how wonderful the trip was for him.
I still love that funny spotted cow. Your blocks are wonderful!
Another gorgeous sampler, Margaret. Now, I want to know what DH was doing gallivanting in Europe without you? No fair!
P.S. I love the new quilt so far, too.
Oooh, another pretty quilt! It's going to be fun watching your progress!
Nice progress on the sampler Margaret. I love that paper piecing. Glad hubby made it home safely. Sounds like a great place to work.
Linda
Wow! That new quilt is really coming together quickly, Margaret--love the colors :) And how nice to have your DH home again--I'm sure with his coloring sunblock is a must!! Good for him for following through :)
I'm sooo enjoying your progress on HIs Eye Margaret! Lovely stitching, as always....
Don't worry, I horde tea tins too! What an indulgent husband the father type is.
Great progress on the Eye...it's really coming along especially considering its size. Glad the Father Type got home safe and brought you some cool treats. The tin is awesome! I love the pattern of your new quilt...I'll enjoy your diamonds taking shape as well as the stars. :)
Your projects are lovely! How nice to have your hubby back!
So glad your husband made it home! Your new quilt is stunning! Margaret, you never cease to amaze me with your talents. I'm drooling weekly over His Eye and your blocks of the week and now I will also drool over your new quilt! Have a great week and happy stitching!
What an exciting new quilt!! Glad husband is home safe!
gorgeous stitching, love the paperpiecing
I'm stitching a symmetrical design right now, too, and it's really lagging. The left side went well but I just can't get excited about doing the right.
Beautiful colors in your new quilt. You're so good at the fussy cutting. I don't know why I can't figure out how to have consistent 1/4" seams but until then no fussy cutting for me! lol
Your stitching looks fabulous! What a pretty design. Your quilting looks great too. :)
I am loving your sampler!! I know what you mean about stitching motifs twice. I love the look of symmetrical designs but blah! It is a pain.
Glad your husband made it home safe and had a great trip. Too bad you couldn't go with him. Have a great week.
Oooo, that is a different quilt. I like. Like a riff on a hex quilt.
Don't drink tea? The horror!! ;)
It's a brilliant looking tin. So fancy. Definitely a collectable. :)
Love the spotted cow. I can see where that glorious color would be distracting and such a nice new project. I am looking forward to seeing all of your fussy cut stars together.
Oh my what a great new quilt diversion. Love the layout and colors. Your "sparrow" is coming along beautifully. Not a tea drinker wow I'm shocked ! coffee instead? I could use a cup of either right now LOL Cheers Mel
Lovely as always, Mia is our Lucy's favorite spot!
Great to see that your husband is back home with you and that he has enjoyed his time away. Nice little gifts that he brought.
I love your progress bon the sampler, it really has many beautiful motifs. And wow about your new quilt.
