A finish

I have finished my Kirigami sweater by Gudrun Johnston.

Sorry it's not the best picture.  I used Brooklyn Tweed Arbor in the Sashiko color way.  It seems to fit, atlhough it's probably larger than planned.  I like loose fitting sweaters, but of course they don't always look the best.  I will know more once it's finished blocking.

My arm and wrist seem to be mostly all better.  I tried a row of color work and seem to be able to do it with no pain or discomfort.  Hooray!  My plan of finishing Kirigami first to help my arm and wrist heal worked!  The plain knitting was good for it, and once I reached the yoke, my arm and wrist were ready to go.

Mia hopes you have a great weekend!

The patterning on the yoke is just lovely Margaret. Your knitting is always very clever and appeals to the knitter in me as I know how much work goes into each piece. Mia is such a lovely puss - how old is she now?

Is that Mia's back paw? Cat yoga? LOL!!

I also like my sweaters larger and looser. Glad the wrist is better.

Hi, Margaret, I'm happy your arm is returning to normal. Cute Mia looks like she is intently trying to communicate with you:)
It's turning out to be a hot and humid weekend with rain, good weather to stay indoors and stitch.

Another beautiful sweater, Margaret! We just got back from visiting my son and his family in Manhattan, KS and I thought of your family. It's just such a small world isn't, it?

So glad you healed so quickly and that it wasn't worse, Margaret. I know you were very worried when it happened! And what a gorgeous, gorgeous sweater! Good thing you live in the cold northeast to wear all of these beauties each winter :)

Happy June to you!

That really looks like a nice warm sweater to wear in the cold winter months. Love how the pattern turned out (and now I know that it's not cabled, thank you very much).

Looks like you've discovered a new form of PT!

So glad to hear your arm and wrist are doing better and that the fancy work on the yoke was not a bother. Another beautiful sweater! This looks so very cozy (and I'm really liking the thought of cold days that need cozy sweaters as it was 88 here today ... and about 80 in my office - ugh!)

Such a great pattern, Margaret. And quite obviously your knitting plans worked out so that your arm and shoulder are good enough now to do more colour knitting.
