This is the Fair Isle Club 2 blanket by Marie Wallin. I'm rebelling by knitting each section in the round, complete with steeks. My fingers are tightly crossed that I won't run out of yarn.
Various other events have occurred since my last post, including a fun day with the Boy Child as he set up for viewing the (70%) solar eclipse on August 21. It was pretty cool, even without a total eclipse involved.
Father type kindly took pics of me modeling my Ilia sweater, which I finished way back when but never showed off on my body. We went to the Walkway Over the Hudson, so I thought it was a good time for a photo shoot.
And here is a pic from our actual birthday celebrations for the Girl Child, way back in August.
I probably missed something in there, but you get the gist of it all.
Mia says good night.....

I can't recall ever seeing a piece of work so magnificent. You must be a genius.
Wow, that sweater really, really suits you! Looks great!
Are you kidding me? How in this world can you knit such intricacies? How? It just boggles my mind between following the pattern and color changes. You need to do a YouTube!
This blanket is just stunning. I have to ask the same question as Marly - how can someone knit such a pattern? Such a beauty!!!! You are a master knitter, Margaret.
Nice to see some new family pictures. And great picture of you wearing the Ilia sweater.

I seriously wish we lived closer! We could have so much knitting fun together. I love, love, love these two. You and the mister are so cute together. Such a pretty birthday girl too. Give Mia a cuddle from me.
The blanket is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen you knit. It is truly stunning in its detail and colors. Your sweater looks very comfy and warm!
absolutely smashing Margaret - it's just amazing! I love your big cushy cardi too!
Looks great on you too! I'm really feeling the pull of the wool now that September is here and Autumn is just a day or two away. I joined a Shibui KAL and ordered yarn - ordered some Rowan yarn for a scarf for DH out of Martin Storey's new men's book and started a new hurricane shawl. Take care - knit on ! Mel
Your knitting is beautiful--you knit above my skill level. Sweet Mia.
