New starts, and finishes - sort of

I have a finish that I started this week.  I am waiting for the beautiful robin's egg blue box and the ric rac trim to come so that I can have a real finish.  But the stitching is done.

This is Autumn Posy by Plum Street Samplers.  I absolutely love this design and had to get it.

I had another new start once I finished Autumn Posy.  It's His Eye is on the Sparrow by Heartstring Samplery.

I love the colors on this one.  It's a biggie!  I'm using 40ct Doubloon linen by Picture this Plus and the called for GAST and WDW threads.

I also finished all the hexies on my hexagon purse.  Pictured is the two sides rolled up plus the bottom of the purse.  Now I just have to psyche myself up to finish it into a purse!

(You can also see a bit of Mia and her button in the upper left corner.)

And here is my fussy cut star for the week.  I think it's number 38!  It's another fabric from the Blue and White collection by Michael Miller.

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  Hope you don't mind 2 posts in one day!  Have a great week!

Wow, two posts in one day! Happy Birthday to your hubby. I love, love, love that Autumn Posy! I had not seen that one before. And, yay!, you too are doing Sparrow! Love your new start. I am just finishing up my Blackbird sampler and then plan to start. I keep changing my mind though on fabric and threads. I will enjoy watching your progress. Have a great week!

I love Autumn Posy! Oh I can't wait to see your box finish! And Eye on the Sparrow - so pretty! I just love this design from Beth but it's too big for my scroll frame I think.

The fussy cut star looks great. Can't wait to see your hexie purse finish!

Hugs to Mia!

Love the Plum Street- I have not seen it before. His Eye's colors are wonderful. They didn't show up well in the online photos and I like what I see. Budman is liking Mia's pics.

Mia's crossed paws are precious!

I'd not seen the PSS project before. I'm looking forward to seeing it completely finished.

His Eye on the Sparrow is no surprise! You're the perfect person to stitch the big ones! Is it going to take a full stitchers yard? That peacock! Love the colors!

Margaret, I thought of you IMMEDIATELY when I saw "His Eyes". That is going to be one monster sampler - I hope you have somewhere to hang it to give it place of pride. I'd be working on it the rest of my life if I ever started anything that size. Mia looks to be in good spirits, though a bit cold - is she mourning the passing of summer?

Love your finish and a robin's egg blue box sounds intriguing. Love new start too.

I know what you mean about psyching yourself to do the finishing after the pieces are done. I have a project staring me in the face that's just waiting for that finishing mojo! I suspect you may find your mojo before I do! That purse will be great, I'm sure.

Beautiful stitching - as always - Margaret!! I'm loving the linen choice on your Sparrow project. I may just have to track that one down, seeing as I can never resist another BAP....
