Hooray!!

I'm finished with the model stitching!  Hooray!  I can't wait for the big reveal at market in March.  Hopefully I will be able to show it off to you then.

I was so happy to be done with that huge project -- I felt more relaxed even.   I immediately went off to start a project of my own choosing.  Didn't get too far since I had only one day, but here it is.

It's The Hart Lives Where It Loves by the Scarlet Letter.  I'm using 40ct Lambswool and the AVAS called for.  I'm loving it so far!

Mia seems to have settled in much better this time after her boy child left.  She is content to look out the windows at birds, and to find the warmest place possible to snuggle in for a nap.  For some reason, she finds this perch comfortable.

I really couldn't tell you why.  lol!

Snow, sleet and freezing stuff on tap for today.  A good day to stay inside and stitch!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Love the colors in the new sampler. Kind of like my recent chocolate blueberry obsession.

Cool to finish a big model. Looking forward to seeing it.

A big congrats for finishing the model. I can't wait for the big reveal! It must feel wonderful to be able to start a new project for yourself.
Mia looks very content on her perch.

Look forward to seeing your BIG model. That's a neat new project you've chosen. Mia's perch must be padded quite well, and her balance is SO much better than mine! It almost looks like she has that head in her mouth...

So happy for you to have finished and now I am looking for the big reveal. MIssed seeing your stitching.

Cats are funny things and only they know their reasoning.

That's great that you can finally get back to your own stitching. I love the piece that you're going to be working on.

We've had the snow, ice, rain thing here too. It's a mess - schools closed and I feel housebound. Hope that it doesn't hit you too hard.

Hi Margaret,

I'm a new follower to you blog and I have to say you are a great source for inspiration. You have stitched so many lovely samplers.

And, last night I saw on Nicola's SAL blog someone stitching The Hart Lives Where It Loves Sampler and I see that's your new start. It was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see your progress on this one. Congratulations on finishing the model you've been working on. I will be watching for that one to hit market.

And, that picture of Mia is so cute sitting on her perch! Bet I know who rules your house, lol. Gotta love our animals.

What could be finer than stitching with sweet Mia..both warm and comfortable on a cold, blustery day? Can't wait to see the model you stitched and the piece you're working on. Hugs dear friend....

Hooray for your finish and a lovely start! I do not see how Mia could be comfortable but cats sure are different. Our Sylvia has decided she likes to nap in our closet.

Looking forward to the big reveal of what you are been working on! Mia looks comfy ~ but not as much as when she is with her boy!

When I am finished model stitching...all I want to do is pick my own piece and stitch away!

Great job, Margaret,

Our freezing rain moved through this morning and tomorrow and Wed. we're due to have record high temperatures for January!! What a weird winter it has been... Hugs to Miss Mia :)

Great new start! I love this design and will enjoy seeing your stitching. That is great Mia is finds it easier to get into the routine when BC is not there. I am sure she now realizes he is not gone too far :) There was some great tennis this weekend, I was so looking forward to watching the final and turned off the Open news feed on my facebook so I would not hear what happened but then a friend posted the result! Bummer! Lately I think we need to hide under the covers to keep from hearing news, it comes from all directions! Hope you have a great week!

Great start on your latest project! Mia is so pretty, sitting there on that beautiful quilt! Glad she is adjusting to her buddy being gone. :)

I love the title of your newest Scarlett Letter piece, and your progress so far. How exciting that your finished model will be revealed at Market in March. I will definitely be watching for it. Your work is always so exquisite.

Sweet little Mia looks a bit lost without her 'Boy', but content, perched atop your quilt. Such a sweetie.

Blessings!

Looking forward to the reveal, and seeing more of the new one. (I love the quilt Mia is perching on, too!) we have snow, ice and sleet, all in one week. Starting to really dislike the winter.

I knew immediately at one glance it was the Hart sampler you gave a sneak peek of. I think you will enjoy it - I'm glad to finally have it out and dusted off and put back in rotation again. can't believe I let it sit for a year or more w/o ever seeing the light of day. Glad your model stitching is complete. Can't wait to see what Tanya will be tempting us with this time. Hope you have a good week in spite of your empty nest. Take care Mel

I love the Hart sampler. I almost bought that one recently. Can't wait to see yours done. I love your blog and have missed having you online. I visited NYC during Hurricane Sandy, not on purpose, and was stuck there for three extra days. I appreciate Grapevine, Texas more than ever, not much snow here. Post often....Shelly

Can't wait for the reveal, Margaret! Have you said the designer and I just missed it?

Mia looks like the queen of the castle, on her perch. Love the quilt.

Hope you stayed warm...it was a long drive in to work this a.m. here in lower Michigan. The mitten sure got some weather the past 24 hours. I love winter and snow but not the ice!

Yay for finishing your model stitching and stitching something of your own choosing! Love the AVAS and this looks like it will be a good stitch. Cats "comfort" spots often don't look too comfortable to us. They like to live on the edge. Glad to hear she is adjusting a bit better when the boychild leaves. Love the quilt she's sitting on!!

Hugs!

Glad you finished your model stitching and you can start on your new project just for you.

Methinks Mia might enjoy another furry playmate! wink wink.

Mia sure looks happy perched there.

Your new start looks good, lambswool linen is one of my favourites. Mia looks very content, cats do find the oddest places - our Poppy lies on top of the boiler happily and it looks so uncomfortable.

Congratulations on your finish. Looking very much forward to the release of it to be able to admire your work.
LOVE your new start. What a gorgeous sampler. That one made it immediately on my ever growing wishlist.
Mia is such a cutie. I can imagine that she seeks out the warm spots. She reminds me here a bit of my own cats. Both of them like the weirdest places to settle down. Back of chairs and couches an all time favorite.
