Big finish, small start, and my cuties

First off, here's Ann Smith in all her glory.

Ann Smith Sampler by the Scarlet Letter
36ct Light Examplar
AVAS called for

Isn't she pretty?  (Sorry I'm a bad photographer.)

I'm so glad I stitched her!

Now I know the question is, what's next?  Here she is.

She's Margaret W. Brown by Milady's Needle.  I'm using 40ct vintage Palomino and AVAS 100/3.  It's my first time using the 100/3 -- nice stuff!

The linen color is washed out in the photos, but hopefully you get the idea.

My stitching sisters have suggested I have a Margaret sampler wall.  I may have to do that!

I think the boy child is feeling at loose ends now that the play is over.  All this free time!  lol!  I keep telling him he needs to use that free time to do his college applications and practice for possible auditions. Hopefully he'll listen.  The boys did manage to visit another college on Friday, so that's good.  So far, the boy child has liked all the colleges we've visited.

I think Mia is very happy to have the boy child around more.

What do you think?  :D

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Ann Smith looks great Margaret! And you finished this one very fast (especially considering it has all that over one). Glad to see that you are stitching Margaret Brown as well. If you look closely at the pattern you will see my name listed as the model stitcher. It is a great little piece and will be a good one to add to the Margaret wall.

You finished her! She looks amazing, and all her bright colors bring a smile to my face.

I love the new start, and I think a Margaret wall would be perfect. Too bad there aren't many Melinda or Mindi samplers out there :p

Congrats for Ann's finish! I ran out of the word to express how beautiful your work is, but you know I admire you! Having a Margaret's wall sounds like a great idea. I love AVAS 100/3 thread. It gives such clean look to your work, doesn't it? Hope your boy child feels better. I'm sure with a little nurse Mia, he will be fine soon!

Congrats on an awesome finish. I'm so in love with Ann Smith. You've got a good start on Margaret B. Glad you enjoy stitching with the 100/3... I wish is came in the same colors as AVAS and we could interchange the silks.
Yup... Mia is definitely keeping a paw on the boy child in hopes of keeping him home.

Mia loves her boy! So funny how she snuggles up to him. Ann Smith is absolutely beautiful! I love how colorful and cheerful it is. You already have such a great start on Margaret Brown. I have never seen anyone who can crank samplers out as fast as you can. :) Your lightning needle amazes me. :)
You may have mentioned this on your blog before, but I am curious... Do you stitch in hand or do you use a stand or hoop? What are your fast stitching secrets? :)

Oh, my goodness, Margaret, Ann Smith is absolutely beautiful!! What an amazing accomplishment...
I admire how you have the entire border done on your next sampler, if I stitched the entire border first, I'm positive I would make a mistake somewhere. And you've accomplished so much on her already. Can't wait to see your progress as you work along.
