Monogamous

It's been a short month, all dedicated to my Fabiola by Gudrun Johnston.

It's a slow knit -- almost 400 stitches to start with on (for me) size US 1.5, 2.5mm needles.  But it's color work and I love it.  The last picture shows the start of one of my sleeve steeks.

Not much else to show!  I'm a monogamous knitter, and this sweater is my monogamous knit right now.

It's been a winter so far of snow to mix to ice to freezing rain, etc and repeat.  Frankly, I'm quite ready for spring.  Thank goodness for the longer days!

And Mia loves when it's sunny, as do I!

Hi Margaret: What a beautiful yarn color, I am interested in seeing the finished design.
Mia looks so comfortable, Blondie the cat says hello Mia.
Stay warm, we have loads of snow, I am longing for spring and warm weather.

Love your fair isle, Margaret, it is my favorite to stitch also. The sun, Mia, and the quilt make such a cozy picture! Can't wait to see your finish.

Mia is loving every ray of that sunbeam!

I'm looking forward to seeing your sweater finish! I hope you've been able to wear all the sweaters this winter!

Our weather has been weird too. We were near 90 several days last week. Lots of rain and gray days. Then some of those glorious perfect days with crisp air, an amazingly blue sky and loads of sun!

Margaret - that Fabiola is FAB!!!!!! I love what you are doing. I looked up the pattern and of course 'faved' it for when I get up my fair isle muster one day. Are you using Loft or something you favor more? I bought my first skeins of Loft in January and have tried twice without success to start the Comfort Zone by Woolenberry. WHY? can't I get this going - who knows - but 3 times is either the charm or maybe not in which case this lovely Loft will be repurposed at a later point. I'm sorry about all the yuck weather but spring will be there all in good time. Enjoy your weekend ! Mel

Beautiful work as always, Margaret! Love that Mia found some sun on these dreary days.

Cindy Lou Who is like Mia. She will follow the sun around the dining room.
I am past ready for spring. The longer days are most welcome and soon we will gain another of daylight. Yeah!

Incredible work! But then, yours always is. I really like the little flecks of yellow in that green yarn - tiny surprises.

Looks like Mia had a great sun bath. Winter is nearly always dreary here, but our girls got to enjoy the sun pouring into the living room yesterday. Like you (and me!), they're thankful for the longer days and that spring is coming.

Fabiola is GORGEOUS Margaret! Also love the quilt that Mia has claimed! I'm usually a monogamous knitter too, but right now I have 3 projects on the go! I will admit that 2 are sort of languishing.....

Really a glorious piece of knitting, Margaret! I so agree about being ready for spring. Luckily, I was in Florida last week visiting my sister so I got some much-needed sunshine and warm weather! Unfortunately, I also got a nasty cold/flu bug from the airplane ride home--boo!!! Hope your weather will warm up soon--we are getting to 60 on Sunday so you should have that on Monday :)
