Class of 2016

It's hard to believe, but our boy child is now a college graduate!  This past Saturday May 7, he graduated from Berklee College of Music.  I still can't get over it!  It was a very busy weekend, full of proud moments and also some hard work.

But first, a little knitting.  I started the Right Angle from Pom Pom Magazine issue 16, by Georgia Farrell.  I'm using the lovely yarn I bought at Loop London, Shilasdair Luxury DK with camel.  (i'm farther along by now.  The color is most accurate in the swatch picture.)

OK, back to graduation.  The boy child's graduation was Saturday morning.  He, along with two colleagues from his work at video services, had produced a senior video for the ceremony, so the three of them got to introduce their work before it was shown.  I will show a miscellany of pictures from the ceremony.

With his close friend from home

We also had to move boy child out of his apartment.  Thank goodness for the help of my sister, BIL, and nephew on Saturday for the moving out!  Lots of packing, cleaning and moving (the packing and cleaning was mostly done Friday).

Saying goodbye to his home away from home

Then we enjoyed a bit of down time at my sister's house before driving home Sunday.  Don't you love that blue wall?

Needless to say, Mia was highly stressed out by the activity of moving all the boy child's possessions into the living room once we got home!

(That's the double bass there on the bottom left, in its case)

Things are looking much better already, both in the living room and in the boy child's room.  Boy child is doing a good job of cleaning out and moving back into his room!

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.

And congratulations to our sweet boy on graduating from Berklee.  We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what the future holds in store for you!

Congratulations to your dear son and to you and the father-type, such a proud moment for you all. You must be so pleased to have him home for a while. Naturally, when I looked at all the stuff in your lounge room, the only thing that I saw was the picture of Anne Boleyn - lol! (oh, and lovely knitting, too.)

Congratulations to you all! Didn't I just read your post where he was leaving for the first time for college? Geez! Nice to have them back home, though, even for a little while before they are off on the next adventure.

Congratulations! How is it possible he has already finished college? Beautiful yarn and knitting--pretty color, pretty pattern. Ah Miss Mia--she will adjust, not sure she will be happy if the Boy/Man child leaves her again

Congratulations to the Boy Child and to you and your hubby too! Nice to have finished tuition payments, huh? I, too, noticed the picture of Anne Boleyn - lol. Love the blue wall -- that's the color I want one bedroom wall painted. And your knitting looks fabulous as always. Love the color.

Such a momentous occasion! I'm sure it's a bittersweet event for him too - leaving his college friends and such - but also exciting about what the future holds! What do you think is next for him? Any talk of a Masters Degree? I know you're happy to have him home!

Big congratulations to your son, Margaret!! And to you and your husband--after all, without your love and guidance he may not have been nearly as successful...

This is such a strange time in a young person's life. For the first time ever--there is no straight-forward "next step." I hope he ends up doing something he truly loves :)

Enjoy your time with him--I know Mia is in heaven!
