Knitting and famiy

I'm afraid there's nothing much to show.  Except for a finish.  Yay!  My Ondawa is finished!

This is Ondawa by Michele Wang.  I used Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Barn Owl.  A fun knit!

Here is my pile of sweaters that I've knitted from mid October to today.  From bottom to top, I have Stopover, Rowe, and Ondawa.

I've started a scarf, the Palindrome scarf.  it has reversible cables, which I've always been curious about.  I'm using Woolfolk Far in color number 10.  So soft!  I've always wanted a long, skinny scarf.  We'll see if I last and don't get bored.

I don't even remember what has happened since my last blog post.  I know we've gone into the city at least once.  And managed to see the girl child.  (And go to a bookstore.)

And drool over yarns at Downtown Yarns.  (Father type was being mischievous, as you can see.)

Um.  Yeah, I did a bit more than just look.  At both the bookstore and the yarn store.  (The yarn is Malabrigo lace, can't remember the color name.)

And then, this past Sunday, our boy child came home for spring break.  Yay!

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  Let's hope they are wrong about this nor-easter!  Have a great weekend!  (Happy St. Patrick's Day!)

Congrats on another beautiful, snuggly sweater! The knitting bug has really bitten you! Think you'll take a break from it when the warm weather hits?

That yarn shop photo with your DH is hilarious. Love the colors in that yarn you bought. And I'm sure you couldn't resist that book!

Enjoy what's left of Spring Break with the family!

Lovely sweaters, Margaret! They all look so warm and cozy. I especially love the bottom one in the stack. And the new yarn in stunning. I can't wait to see what it becomes. Good luck with your scarf project. Glad that you were able to spend some time with both of the kids!

I don't call three gorgeous sweaters nothing to show. :) Love them and especially the colors in the Stopover sweater. Bookstore, yarn store - that would have been two of my favorite things in one day. Pretty yarn! And it's nice to see Mia and your son reunited once again - and I know you are happy to have him home. :)

Beautiful sweater! I hope you get to wear it a few times before it warms up. We are supposed to have rain tomorrow but our ac has already been on for a while. Stay safe during the storm coming your way. I don't know if it means snow for you or just a bunch of rain!

It's so delightful to see all your knitting, even for a non.knitter like me. These sweaters are so beautiful. The expectation of visiting a book store or a craft store can always make me go into the city, lol. Have a nice week with your son at home.

That is a beautiful new sweater you have! I love the length.
I never seem to get my sweaters to fit me. They are either to big or too small, and quite often they are too long. LOL!

I need to go to a knitting store. I have been buying all my yarn online. It would be lovely to see what is available.

Hope we get a pass by on this snow!

I love the yarn colors you choose and the newest are gorgeous. I visited a small local yarn shop and the models made me want to get started. The baby items were adorable and one ladies' cardigan had diagonal rows of fuzz, triangles of different patterns, just amazing. You've accomplished a lot in a short time.

Gorgeous jumpers, Margaret and I love the scarf pattern, too. Thanks for the book recommendation (by showing the cover) - on my wish list now.

How beautiful is your stack of sweaters? Isn't it magical in a way to create something out of wool? I think so. My aunt cards, spins and weaves wool. I hope you missed most of the winter storm and enjoy your time with your boy. I am interested in the book you purchased - if you think about it let me know what you think after you've read it.

Oh, Margaret, your sweaters are so, so lovely! I can't begin to pick a favorite, although for the color alone, I would say the blue :)

Looks like a fun trip into the city--especially getting to spend time with your daughter. You are so lucky to have her living nearby!

Happy Easter to you!
