Ouch! But there's framing!!

Um yeah.  The first word of the title of this post says it all.  I somehow injured my left shoulder so that I couldn't do anything at all, lots of pain.  Not fun.  So I didn't get a whole lot done this week.  I'm hoping that it's getting better finally, but the return to my stitching and sewing and knitting might take a while.

But here is my small progress on His Eye.

I'm working on page 4 now, page 3 is all done.

Here is my fussy cut star for the week, a Judy Rothermel fabric again.

My friend and I did go to the LNS over the weekend to pick up my framing.  Here is the Crown Sampler from Plum Street Antiques.  Love this frame.

Here's the frame detail.

Here is Catherine Maudsley from Drawn Thread.  I love this one for its border.

Here is the frame -- it's perfect for this piece.

I hung the two up on the wall of the sewing room, which is getting a lot more crowded than I'd thought.  (The colors are off in this picture.)

Mia does not like the cold weather one bit.  She has been on my lap much more than is usual during the warmer months, and the heating duct is her best friend now.   (Father type took this picture btw.)

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Love His Eye … what a lovely and exciting piece this is. Your frame choices for your two pieces are spot on. Both pieces are beautiful. I always love getting my pieces back from the framer. It's the frosting on the cake.

Hugs to you and sweet Mia Stay warm !

Oh those frames! Your second piece is so very excellent! Wow!
I notice maybe Mia isn't the only one not fond of the cold. I see you with your fleece on. ;)

Oh no! What a way to ruin your rhythm. Hopefully you'll be better soon. The projects are lonely without you!

The framed pieces look marvelous. You can just snuggle up with Mia and stare at your beautiful finishes!

Ouch is right. I've injured both my shoulders over the years and I know it's not fun. What did you do to yours?

Love how Sparrow is looking and the two framed pieces - wow! I especially love the PSS one. Oh my I have this sampler - I need to get it out. Did you use the recommended floss or did you use Katrina's I wonder?

Daisy is being more cozy these days too and wanting to sit with me more. It is lovely to have a cat on one's lap! Take care!

Hope your shoulder iproves quickly...that's got to be frustrating as well as painful. Love your choice of frames -- they are both perfect. Cute Mia. Tyg has been staying inside much more with the colder weather...and yesterday I think he was spooked by all the wind and leaves blowing around - lol.

Hope your shoulder is improving! Of course, if it hurts to stitch, that must mean it hurts when doing housework also 😊. The frames are perfect and I love the sampler wall in your sewing room.

I'm so sorry you're hurting. I hope you feel better very, very soon.

You are making amazing progress on you HEIOTS sampler - a slow down for you may be normal stitching speed for the rest of us, mere mortals. ;-)

Great fram choices on both pieces. Funny how off colors can look some times however, your samplers all look fab!

I hope your shoulder feels better soon. Drooling over your sewing room with all the lovely framed stitched pieces and the lovely quilts. How you must enjoy spending time there. Your two newest frames are perfect and you are right, the border on Catherine is extraordinary lovely. Hi to Mia - my crew does not enjoy the colder weather either.

Ouch on your shoulder and do take care with it. They're tricky to heal especially when interests include stitching!!! Love your framed pieces and your sampler wall has me drooling. I loved seeing all your pics on IG - really makes me wish my stitching mojo would make its way home!!!!!

sorry to hear you hurt your shoulder - aaacckk - no knitting - that is horrible - I had a bout with my right thumb and it was extremely painful to do anything but I kept putting ice packs on it and the inflammation subsided so I'm back. your framing is gorgeous ! that moulding on the Crown is exquisite and so perfect. Catherine is a beautiful lady too. just the best choice of frames for her as well. Hope you get better soon or you'll never get Mia to move out for the knitting. Take care Mel

Sorry for the owies. :(

This piece is so BIG. I'm always amazed at the size of the pieces you do. One of these would take me 5 years to finish. lol

The new framed pieces look great. What are you going to do when you run out of room??? You'll have to move. ;)

Cactusneedle said...

You made me go buy "His Eye"! It's just too awesome to pass on, even though I have enough samplers to last me at least 10 years waiting to be done! lol
