Tennis and stitching, the perfect combination

The French Open has been keeping me company while I stitch my Red Deer Sampler.  I have to say the border is what attracted me to this sampler -- so pretty!

And here's my fussy cut star for the week, using another Jo Morton Woodland fabric.

The fabric reminds me of suit fabric -- pinstripe??  So fun!

Mia has been keeping me company while I stitch this week.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.  Have a great week!

Beautiful! Love the colors. What fabric are you using? Nice to have tennis to watch while stitching. I haven't picked up a needle in over two weeks. Too much work to do outside, so I am living vicariously by stopping by to read about your progress!

Loving the red!! That was what I thought when I saw your star. In my Crazy Quilt life collected kimono fabrics, and lots of them had similar designs. Mia looks like she may be having a little oxygen! LoL

That is a much more interesting border than the typical ones. And I love how you match your accessories to the colors in the sampler!

Nice to have a companion. Does Mia like tennis?

That border is awesome with all the different colors of flowers - it must be fun to stitch and perfect for working on while watching TV. Glad to see Mia is holding up her end of the bargain and keeping you company.

What a wonderful sampler. I wish I had time to stitch...sigh, but I just hate putting down my rug hook.

You are right, that border around the sampler is really beautiful, all these flowers in different colours. I often look at the border first when I see a sampler, they are often an eye catcher.

That is probably the prettiest border ever, Margaret--really fun and colorful! I understand why it attracted your attention..

Enjoy your tennis and stitching time with Miss Mia keeping you company :)

Your Red deer sampler is looking gorgeous, great progress.

I'm looking forward to Wimbledon this year as I'm actually going to be able to sit down and stitch to some of it live for the first time since Rosie was a baby!

I love the way your glasses and scissors match the red of the deer - beautiful work as usual and Furio and Milo say "Miaow" to Mia.
