Christmas -- finally!

Well, I don't know how else to do it.  I think I'm going to have to post two posts.  In one week.  There's a lot to post.  Stitching first.  Here is my Crown Sampler as of now.

I'm loving stitching this one.  It's such a pretty piece.

Now for the reason why I wasn't ready for Christmas last week.  Over Sunday and Monday, the 22nd and 23rd, the father type and I had to go up to Boston to move the boy child from his old apartment to a new one.  Luckily, we had Sunday afternoon and Monday morning to do it in.  Monday it rained, but it got done!  Here are a few pictures from the whole move.

Goodbye, old apartment
We got home Monday evening and the girl child arrived soon after.  So the Christmas celebrations could begin!

Father type with his new computer gadget

And girl child

Mia in her new Kaffe Fassett fabric collar

The girl child had to leave late on Christmas as she had work the next day.  But it was a wonderful Christmas nonetheless!

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I will be posting the year in review in a day or two.

Mia looks lovely in her Kaffe collar!

The Crown Sampler really is a pretty piece!

How is your son adjusting to his new apartment? Moving is such a lot of work. At least he's of an age to have not accumulated a ton of stuff!

It seems like Christmas is always busy and full of different activities, especially since one has children. It doesn't really get any calmer when they get older!

Glad your Christmas was so nice. The children look great as does Mia in her new collar

Lovely post today Margaret, the photo of the day has to be Mia's gorgeous collar. Poppy and Rosa are so envious:-)

Love your stitching of The Crown Sampler - really pretty!

Ugh, the moving in the rain looks terrible. I always dreaded moving back in the old college days (but I'm somewhat of a hoarder and think I was even back then - remember the days before CD's and moving BOXES and BOXES of LP Vinyl albums!?)

Looks like everyone had a nice Christmas! Happy New Year to you!

You have gotten a lot done on that beautiful sampler!
The new apt. looks very nice.
What on earth is that on DH's head?!
Lucky girl Mia! I love Kaffe's fabric. Did you make it Margaret? I have been thinking of doing that for Miss Mabel, but did not think the fabric would hold up long.

Love the sampler more and more with each update. Christmas appeared to be alive and well at your house. And you did the good deed of braving the storm to help your son too! Mia will be the most fashionable cat in the neighborhood now!

Gorgeous sampler, Margaret and I love Miss Mia's new collar, too! That must have been tough having to include a moving job in what is already a very busy month! Glad it went smoothly--it looks like a nice place...

Wishing you all the best in 2014, Margaret--I sure wish these years would slow down a bit :)

Your newest sampler looks so beautiful!

What a job moving your son so close to Christmas and also in the rain. I guess that the only thing that would have been worse would have been to do so with ice on the ground.

You'll need to explain what your DH is wearing on his head.

And your sample is really coming along. Can't wait to see your year in review :)

The Crown Sampler is so pretty, Margaret! Ugh! Moving in the rain is horrible and I'll bet it was cold, too. Glad the BC is all settles in. Looks like you all had a fun celebration and I love the pic of the FT in his computer gadget goggles! Reminds me of Notting Hill when they were at the movies and he had to wear his swim goggles! Happy New Year, Margaret? Can't wait to see your year in review!

The Crown Sampler is just beautiful! I'm glad your family could spend Christmas together. Have to say that your husband's new computer gadget looks very interesting. :) And Mia looks very stylish wearing her new color. I could never get mine used to one - they would slowly sink to the floor and couldn't be budged. Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Wonderful photos Margaret! Looks like you all had a fabulous Christmas day. The Crown sampler is just so beautiful. I'm really digging your son's new apartment. Too bad Vancouver doesn't have super cool apartments like that...well maybe we do but I'm not living in them!

Moving definitely doesn't belong to the things I love doing. And we won't be moving any more, lol. But when one of the children has to move we are there to help, of course. I hope your son like his new apartment.
Wonderful pictures from your family Christmas!
