I finished the first border on the Heart's Content piece.
Splendor XXVI -- Queen's Court by Heart's Content |
And last night, I finally cast off on the Wearwithall Stole!!
I still have to weave in the loose ends and find a place to block this monster. It's huge! If it relaxes as planned, it should be 84" long. And it's wide too. I'm hoping Miss Mia won't have a fun time on my stole while I'm blocking it. Sigh.
The father type is loving his new job at Google. He's still feeling like a kid on Christmas and is very very happy. Even with that long commute he has to do! A couple of pictures. Apparently, this is what they call new Googlers.
lol! This is the father type's temporary badge until he gets his real one. And the Nooglers get swag too.
Please note the beanie on the t-shirt and the real life beanie. lol! Love it!
The girl child finally got around to going to the eye doctor for new glasses and contacts. She sent me this picture of herself trying on glasses.
I think she's adorable, but she said she couldn't do the glasses justice. I wonder what she finally went with.
She also sent me a picture of her doing what she loves to do most at the moment.
Look at the color in her hair! (Yes, her hair color is real and natural. I love it!) The red lights make for a cool picture.
Mia has been a lazy cat these days. It's been cooler so she's been snuggling more than usual. And enjoying the fluffy comforter I pulled out for warmth.
Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi. I hope everyone has a great week!

First of all, Mia. I've always wanted to sleep like a cat. All curled up in a circle with my paw covering my eyes. Their sleep positions fascinate me. She's a sweetie. I love your stole. I've drooled over this one for months but it's so warm in Florida, I'd probably never wear it, but it sure is beautiful. Congratulations on a fabulous finish. Looks like DH is having fun at Google. It looks like a great place to work and be creative! Your daughter is adorable. I always love seeing pic of her. Have a simply fabulous week Margaret !! Hugs !!
Your stole looks wonderful. I hope you will model it after it is blocked? Please?!
Your daughter is so lovely.
Henry and Mabel say "Hi Mia". =)
Aww such sweet stitches..I always love your stitching...
Mia is so sweet and your daughter so sweet too...
The stole looks so beautiful...
Have a lovely day dear x
Your stole is wonderful...and it looks so cozy! Looks like a fun place to work...Google. Love the beanie! Oliver Peoples are a favorite of mine...so classic! I'm sure whatever DD picks will look great on her pretty, pretty face.
Have a great week,
Robyn
Your stole looks wonderful--so bright and cheerful--wonderful on those gloomy wonderful days.
I think your daughter would look beautiful in anything. Love the photo of her dancing, although wish we could have seen her from the front. The back of her dress is beautiful and elegant.
Your stitching and stole look wonderful. You finished your stole just in time for the cooler weather😊
So glad your husband likes his new job!
That border is spectacular! Can't wait to see more! So fun seeing pictures of your family. Glad to see that all is going well.
Your sampler is coming along. It's so pretty. I stitched one of Heart's Contents small samplers about 15 years ago, and it's still one of my favorites. There is nothing like the look of over one stitching.
Your stole is gorgeous! I hope it survives the blocking too. :)
I'm so glad your hubby is enjoying his new job even with the commute. It looks like they like to have fun at Google. Too funny!
Have a great week!
Oh, I just love those little pink ears, so cute. Does your daughter watch the equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing? Blocking your lovely knitting won't be easy with Miss Mia about:-)
Love the progress-- you are always an inspiration. And so is your daughter.... I really need to go get glasses. Sigh.
What a fun bunch of Google stuff...reminded me of first day of school supplies! Your boarder is lovely and the colors of the stole fantastic. Glad to see all is well with Mia. Your daughter...so pretty.
Your stole is beautiful! I'm happy your husband is enjoying his "second career"! I thought your daughter looked way cute in those glasses, hopefully she'll share a photo of what she picked. Mia is a sweetie as usual. Have a great week!
You know, your daughter's hair is just gorgeous. I'm so envious! I love your stitching but can't imagine doing all that over one. And Woo Hoo on finishing the scarf. I love it. The way the weather is going on this year, you're going to make good use out of it!!
Girl child totally cute in her glasses. Father type loving new job Mia warm life is good
Your finish on the scarf is BEAUTIFUL!! I am sure Mia will find it quite comfy too, lol! Have a wonderful week, Margaret!
Nice border (with the nice scissors!). Look forward to seeing the blocked stole. Why is it so hard to pick great looking frames? There is one style that works for me, but I hate to get the same all the time. She must want you to be surprised.
One border down, one to go! Loving the red, Margaret! And your stole is amazing--you're almost done--yay :)
So glad the job is working out--is the beanie required attire for all new employees :)
Lovely daughter--hope she found the perfect frames for her glasses.
Border #1 done and the stole is totally knit? You are so persistent and it pays off.
The Google honeymoon looks great. Hope the good times continue.
Love the photo of your daughter. Gorgeous hair and dress!
Great pictures -- the stole is beautiful!
Oh, I can see your dh is having way too much fun! ;-) It must be geek heaven there!
Your daughter looks so lovely and she is doing the tango? or is it ballroom dancing in general?
My comments for your stitching and knitting and Mia are taking a backseat this week! They are all looking great as usual!
Congratulations on finishing your beautiful shawl. I think that you are going to get a lot of wear from it this year from what I have read.
Beautiful photo of your daughter dancing and her dress from what we can see of it is really lovely.
Great work on your sampler and I love your red Bohins :) - Sandra.
NOOGLE!! Ha :) Love it!
And your DD's hair is gorgeous, I've always thought so. And your sweet Mia :) sleepy, sleepy - ours are sleepers more lately too!
I love those glasses on her! But I think I would need more than glasses to see those tiny stitches of yours.
Your border looks great and I love those red Bohin scissors! I've never seen them before. That stole will certainly keep you warm and cozy this winter. Is girl child doing tango?! How exciting! I've wanted to but I have two left feet and need a patient partner which I don't have. Ha! Glad your DH is enjoying his first days as a newbie at Google.
Tell me your borders don't always line up. Please! :)
Glad your DH is enjoying the new job. Nice welcome with all the goodies too. I've never had that happen at a job before.
Margaret, your stole is beautiful! What an incredible amount of work and such gorgeous colours!! Mia is just too cute for words. So glad your husband is enjoying his new 'job' :) Your daughter is gorgeous as always. Have a great week.

Gorgeous pic of your DD and glad your DH is liking his new job!!!!!! Love the stole and great progress on the Heart's Content piece.
Oh gosh, I thought "Nooglers" was just something made up by the people who wrote the script for The Interns! (Oh gosh, I loved that movie!) How fun!!
Have you seen the heated cat beds on Amazon? I bet Mia would love one!
And the girl child is beautiful!
Paulette
Congratulations on finishing your stole, it's gorgeous.
Splendor is looking lovely, well done on finishing the border.
Great photos of Mia & your DD
Yay! One border down. :)
I'm so jealous of his new job. I have NO IDEA what I would do at Google (empty trash bins? lol) but I want to be there too and get awesome swag. *sniff*
Congrats, too, on finishing the stole. :)
I think the new job is so Very Cool!! I am glad he is enjoying it. Awesome swag too by the way.
Your stole is lovely, and the border is very pretty. Hope you will show picture of the stole ON after you've blocked it.
great job on your shawl finish, just in time for cooler weather I'm sure ! You're still hanging in there on your Hearts Content piece - that's good and it's a pretty shade of red and looks great with your Bohins for enhancement. Just all too funny about the Google stuff. Mel
beautiful pictures !
bisous my friend
Your daughter's hair is beautiful! She is beautiful :)
Love your stole. Very pretty colours.
Glad your DH loves his new job.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that can never decide on a title for a blog post :)
Your stole is gorgeous. I can imagine how nice it will be to cosy up in it on a cold day.
Your girl is so pretty - beautiful hair!
Margaret
Hi Margaret, your stole is looking bautiful and you little Mia is always so adorable :)
Have a nice week-end,
isa
Noogler is too funny ~ great goodies too! You have to seek a pic of him modeling the beanie!
Great stitchy progress, fun pics of your daughter, and Mia ~ always a ham!
I love the title Stuff! I've often wanted to type in random letters too when I'm out of ideas!! Your border is pretty and teeny. Love the scarf and can't wait to see it being modeled by you...hehe. What's blocked mean? Oh and as for cats playing with yarn, I found my afghan out with the yarn ball rolled on the floor, far away from where I put it. So that meant Titus got into my stuff when I was away!! Hopefully Mia will ignore you when you're blocking! Beautiful photo of your daughter and it looks like it's fun to be a Noogle!!
I love your Wearwithall Stole! So much that I had to start one myself. http://emeraldspools.blogspot.com/2013/10/knitting.html?m=1
Thank you for the inspiration!
