Bad mommy

Only one project this week to show.  My Dorothy.

Sorry for the weird picture -- it was taken on my lap.  lol!  The bargello section is done and dusted.  It was fun to do!  Now to finish another herringbone border and on to the fun part!  (I suppose I should work a bit on that over one wording section too.....)

Now for why I'm a bad mommy.  A couple of weeks ago, the girl child's birthday happened.  But for the first time we weren't with the girl child on her birthday because she was off doing this.

Now I did know it was her birthday when it was her birthday, and I noted with sadness that we couldn't wish her a happy birthday on her birthday since she was out on the ocean somewhere.  But.  I didn't make a birthday post.

I think something's wrong with my brain.

We've seen the girl child since she's gotten back, so that's good.  But her birthday was never mentioned on the blog.  So here I am, very late, to say happy 23rd birthday, my sweet girl.  I can't believe what a wonderful person you've grown up to be.  Love you, bunny.

Isn't she pretty?  (Caught her off guard for once.  lol!)

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Oh, Margaret! "Forgetting" your DD's birthday sounds very much like something I could do. Especially easy when they're not around on their b-day or on the days leading up to their special day. Yes, she is indeed a beautiful, young woman! I've always loved the dance pic of her in your header. I hope she had a wonderful trip!
Your Dorothy is something else! She is a beauty and one that I would not have the patience for. I admire your stitching and your stick-to-it-ivness!
