4 years -- really?

Here is my progress on The Hart.  Got the man in, and the outline of the dog, among other things.

I like the man's togs.

I did get distracted this week from The Hart.  By this beauty.  (Photo from Tula Pink's website.)

Yup.  Couldn't resist.  Hex on the Beach comes as a kit with the hexies already pre-cut!  So yeah.  I got a bit distracted.

Got one row done!  So pretty!  I'm trying to concentrate on The Hart some more now.

The title of my post refers to the fact that I realized yesterday that today marks, to the day, the 4th anniversary of my blog.  Pretty bizarre.  It doesn't feel like I've been blogging that long.  But when I look back through my blog and see the kids, then I see it has been that long.  lol!  I've never done a giveaway, and I'm not sure about doing one yet.  But maybe next year on my 5th blogiversary I'll think about doing one.  :D   Anyway, thanks to all of you out there, fellow bloggers and otherwise, for joining me on my blogging journey.  It's been fun, and continues to be fun.

We finally got a sleeper couch for the sewing room/the girl child's room.  I love it, although it is a bit modern for my tastes.  It's one of those "click clack" couches, which opens up flat to sleep on.  Mia and I have made it all comfy.

I think it will take some doing to get Mia used to spending time in the sewing room though.  She's used to being with me where my stitching chair is in the bedroom.

Mia loves her new bed so much.  She spends almost all her sleeping time sleeping in it now.  But once in a while when she tries to get into the bed, she has a bit of a mishap.

Poor baby.  lol!

Of course, as soon as I say that she spends so much time in her bed, she does this instead.

Mia's current status -- on my lap.  lol!  Makes typing on my laptop interesting!

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

I like how they are barely holding hands, just enough to withstand whatever danger they are viewing with those wide open stares.

Cool hexi project. What fun.

Congrats on the blogiversary!

Oh hexies!! That quilt looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to work on with those fabulous fabrics. Great progress on the Hart sampler, and Mia is just too funny! Seems that although she loves her bed, she finds your lap just as comfortable!!

I love the quilt !! I think Hexies are so much fun to sew. I like to take them to group activities 'cause you don't have to count and frog !!

Your Hart sampler is lovely. The Scarlet Letter has so many delightful patterns don't they? It seems all of them have such charming people and animals on them.

Mia...what a sweetie. And you're right, as soon as we think we have them figured out they go and change it up on us !!

Hugs dear friend and have a great needlework week !!

Happy 4 Year Blog Anniversary!

I always look forward to your Monday updates! It is a ritual!

You are coming along on The Hart! I love the colors!

More power to you on the quilt thing. I love quilts, but have a phobia with my sewing machine!

Happy Stitches,

-Holly

Congrats on the 4th blogiversary - time does fly when you're having fun. Wow - that quilt looks like a whole lotta work, but it is beautiful. The Harts are coming right along, even with a little break. Pets are like kids; you say one thing - they do the exact opposite. Have a Happy Stitching week!

Well Happy Blogoversary to you!!
That is going to be one awesome quilt. I love that sweet dog you have outlined. =)
Mabel used to sit on my lap every day while I was on the computer when she was younger. It is hard to type then!!

The Hart looks fabulous... I like the man's togs too! I hope to get my first row of HonB completed today too.
Your new couch looks comfy and I'm sure you'll soon convert Mia to spending time with you in the sewing room rather than by herself in the bedroom.

Congratulations of you Blogoversary, I love your posts, they are my Monday treat when I sit down after my housework.

I will follow your progress on the quilt with interest, I have never done a hexie.

Love your progress on the Hart sampler. Is it me or does the man kinda resemble your honey a little? Maybe it's the hair.

Can't wait to see how the hexi project goes. Love the colors!

Have a good week snuggling with Miss Mia on the new couch!

Happy Blogoversary Margaret!! That hexagonal quilt is AMAZING!!! I love how the colours fade into another. Now my question is...what's that white background behind the hexagons? Cardboard? How would you sew it together then? The Hart is coming along wonderfully. I think that couple is pretty cute. He's got pretty breeches on!! Love that Mia!! She's such a card. Looks like a cat turtle with her bed as her shell!!

That quilt kit is just amazing!
Years ago I made a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt which is all hexes.
Found the hexes to be vexing after a while! Lots of little seams, but it did look amazing in the end.

Just love The Hart :) little Mia is precious as always. Your room looks so cozy. I could stitch for hours in it.

Can't believe how fast you are stitching the Hart and it looks fantastic. Also, really like the pretty fabric on the quilt. Now Mia, she looks so cute and comfy anywhere she goes!! But, I bet she's most satisfied on mama's lap.

Glad Mia is still enjoying her new bed!

You are stitching up a storm, as always. It looks beautiful! I just wish that I can forget about hex on the beach again! It is a stunner! Since I have never worked with hexagons I better don't add this to my pile of goodies! Lol
Can't wait to see more of it though

I am really liking The Hart. It's not my usual style but it's really grown on me.

Mia is so funny. When my dog starts to feel neglected, he will turn his bed into a play toy: drag it into the hall or toss it around.

Oooo, love that hexie quilt. So pretty. I can't wait to see more. And so convenient that it already comes cut out like hexies. Convenient! That Hart project is intense. So much stitching! But it looks fantastic. That Mia is a total character. I think it's funny she was trapped by her own bed! Congrats on 4 years of blogging!

Congratulations for sticking with your blog for so long. It brings so many of us such joy. Yours is one of just a few that I cannot miss and that I have enjoyed for many years. May your inspirational posts continue for many more years.

Mia is adorable as always and your stitching inspiring and beautifully perfect.

Now that new project. Oh yummm!Hexies! If I didn't have a gazillion projects on the go I would race over to a store to buy it myself. It's gorgeous! ... must refrain... must refrain...

Hi Margaret. Beautiful stitching on your Scarlet Letter sampler. I love how much you get done. Your kitty is so so pretty too. I read your post to Nicola about wanting a stitching stand but the supplier was out of stock. You might like to check out www.woodentreasures.info. My husband is building frames and stands and he is going to make some adjustments to his Ultimate stitching stand that will have arms that hold my stitching frame and it will also have a clamp if a person wants to use that instead. I thought I would just let you know. Enjoy Nicolas group. I am loving this new SAL!

Congratulations on your blogaversary! You go girl!! I love your progress on your Hart. I'm so glad you're working on some hexies--I can't wait to see more! Love the pics of Mia, too.

Poor Mia! She would be so disgusted with me in a typical cat way since I was laughing so hard at her "mishaps" with her bed.

Love the progress you've made on the Hart Sampler, and your new quilt. Something like that, with pre-cut pieces, and maybe even I could do a quilt without mangling it too bad. Wait a sec, nope, I'd still mess it up.
