a grownup

It's my girl's birthday today.  She's all of 22 years old.  A grownup for sure.  She has moved on in her life.  She has walked out of FitzRandolph Gate on her graduation day.

Along with good friends.

She has a guy in her life too.

She's begun her life in the real world -- a job, a car, an apartment.

But she still had to make sure to bring a certain someone along to her new digs.

She is loving her new life.  She's even started cooking gourmet dinners.

She's become a lovely young woman, and we are so proud.

Happy birthday, bunny.  I love you.

Ahhh! I am emotional this morning Margaret. I am on the verge of crying. As you know, the things happening with your children are just steps away from where we will be soon. My goodness, I wish we could slow it down. Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter. :)

What a lovely, lovely post about your sweet and smart daughter! You must be so proud of her and love her so very much! Isn't it so fun to watch your children through every phase of their lives? You are going to love being an empty nester Margaret! It's time for you and the father type to have some alone time together; it's absolutely the BEST! Hugs to you and your fam!

Oh to be 22 again!
What I wouldn't give! No aching knees or back LOL! Of course I was married at 22. I have often wondered what it would have been life to be 'out there' a little lomger.

OH Margaret, tears to my eyes when I saw her little sweetie moved with her. As you may remember, my boy turned 19 this week too...and his little mouse is still on the bookshelf in his room and it moves sometimes so I know he acknowleges her existance. Boy, we couldn't go anywhere for several years with out her! Time moves so quick...hope you get some of her yummy dinner soon! And we've already emailed about not actually "seeing" our kiddos on their birthday - not sure if I like that much!
