My progress.
I just have the grass to fill in and the over one words to stitch. I'm saving the over one for last -- seems to be what I do recently.
You'll notice one of the grass colors is very different from the others in my dye lots. Oh well.
There are 3 colors for the grass.
And here is my TUSAL for the month.
It's sitting among my stitching and other treasures on my table next to my stitching chair. The sewing caddy is from the same man who made my spool cabinet (in my last post). The cat is a thimble holder from Scarlet Letter. And my brass pear is my treasure from the local craft fair.
Mia usually sticks to licking the coffee that is left in the father type's mugs (don't worry, she doesn't get anything but the essence of the coffee), but the other day, she became curious about the boy child's glass (which had only had water in it) instead.
Such a silly girl!
Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi. I hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Margaret,
Your sampler is gorgeous! I love that blue! O.K. I admit it...I had to Google tusal...got it now. Your sewing goodies make a wonderful collection...the spool holder is so pretty.
You know what they say about cats and curiosity...Mia is certainly a curious kitty...love the boy child's reaction! Both are such cuties!
Have a great week,
Robyn
Never let you go is looking great! I recognized the cat thimble holder immediately... I've been very tempted to buy one for myself. That second photo of Mia cracks me up. My Spike is addicted to Coke, and if I am not paying attention, she will stick her head in the glass and steal my soda. Cats are so odd.
beautiful progress, love this chart...going to stitch it soon too
Wow that's a very speedy finish!! Beautifulllll!!
Lovelly tools Margaret, treasures. How funny is Mia:))
Wow, Margaret, your stitching needle continues to fly through your projects! "Never Let You Go" looks terrific. Love the animals at the bottom!
Grass is like that in real life too. No problem. The sampler looks as gorgeous as all of your lovely stitching.
I love seeing this sampler up close. The legs on the cow (?) are very funky looking... but I love it!
We'll be celebrating your finish in the next blog post.
Beautiful Sampler Margaret!
Mia has gotten so big! I can remember you posting pics when she was just a wee bit of fur. That pic of her with her head in the glass is hilarious!
Your stitching is beautiful.
Mia, Mia that could get you into a lot of trouble
Very nice work. Mia,:)
Love the sampler--have seen it in the shop. I've had the same dye-lot issues, but I just stitch on. If we're stitching repros or even faux repros, those colors are wonky anyway. Love the cat thimble holder too--so far I'm preventing myself from acquiring anything but charts, fabric and floss--not even scissors, but I'm going to have to cave if you keep showing such lovely storage and accessories!
Your sampler is gorgeous! Your needles are just flying through that linen.
Mia is too funny with her head way down in that glass! I can see why your son was laughing at her:)
Have a great week.
Magnifiques les progrès ! Ce Sampler est de plus en plus beau !
Very beautiful, bisous de FRANCE
Oh, I knew I would drool today because it is Monday and I get to peek at your GORGEOUS stitching :) JUST beautiful :)
Enjoy the week my friend :)
Hi Margaret, The sampler looks great! I am going to have to get that chart now -- great animals at the bottom. Our cat Maestro preferred to drink from a glass (wine glass especially, but others would work) -- sometimes sticking her head in the glass, other times just her paw. And, she loved to lick the brush I use to get all the ground coffee beans out of my grinder. Cats are too funny. BTW - went for dim sum yesterday for the first time -- wonderful!! Vera
The sampler is turning out so lovely! Mia tickled me. Nosy kitty and I think it tickled her boy too.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful stitching Margaret. I love this piece. Sweet Mia...what an entertaining nut !! Hugs
Beautiful your stitching! And Mia too cute....but the poor cat in the glass!!!!!
Gorgeous sampler! Mia is the cutest.
Awe..head stuck in the cup. I just love the cow on that sampler. How fun!
I really like the different colored grass. Makes it look really old, like some of it faded. I just got this sampler and should get busy and get it started.
Love your spool caddy. I visited his site from your link previously. What an amazing craftsman he is. What wood is your spool caddy out of? Do you pick the fabric for the top or it just comes as is?
Congrats on your finish.
silly girl Mia - too funny ! Love your sampler - I was hoping you'd show a peek today. Have a great week! mel
Beautiful stitching as always! I always like to do the over one last too! Mia is such a beautiful cat - our kitties do the same thing!
Wow, you're going to be done with that sampler in now time, but I'm chuckling because, like Ann Rayner, there is all that grass! LOL I wouldn't worry about the dye lot difference - it will just add to the piece. I ran out of green for Ann, went and bought another skein, and even though it was DMC, it was off a little, but it seemed to just add a little dimension.
Mia is so cute. She's like a kid - curious about everything.
Love your almost done sampler! You go girl! Love that smile on boy child's face. Our furry ones certainly do provide giggles don't they?!
Gorgeous sampler! Your sewing caddy is wonderful and I like the wood with the pretty grains in it. Cute photos of cat and boy child.
That's so funny of Mia!
Love "Never let you go". I have this on my to-stitch list! It looks like such a fun stitch. I noticed you must be leaving the over one's till the end! I would too!
Oh my gosh, you're almost done! It's gorgeous! I just love the verse in this sampler. That Mia is a riot. Look at her head in the glass! Too funny!
ROFLOL Cats are always good to make you smile. Just look at boy child!
I've enjoyed knowing that we were stitching this at the same time. Although, I was pretty sure you would beat me. :) I've only just slogged my way through the over one stitching. I don't know which makes me laugh harder - the look on your son's face or Mia with her little head in the glass. :D
Love your Never Letting Go!!!! Very pretty.
Awesome progress, Margaret! Love all your sewing treasures on your table - they are all fabulous!
Darling pic of Mia and the bc. Very funny!
That is how our first cat received his name. We brought him home and he poked his head in the daughter's tea glass, so she named him Pokey. It fit, he also poked your nose with his for kitty kisses. Miss my little man, he shared 13 wonderful years with us.
Lovely, lovely work on Never Letting Go.
Your sampler is coming along beautifully -- love it!
I enjoy the pictures you post of Mia :-) What is she going to do when the Boy Child goes to college? Or will she be going along?
Your going along like a house on fire with this piece Margaret. It looks really lovely.
Love all your goodies. Your thread holder is really lovely - Sandra.
Wow Margaret! That sampler is beautiful! So strange about the different greens?! It's almost a blue actually!! Love that little cat thimble holder! So adorable and that pear too :D Mia is hilarious! I remember my old cat Lucy used to do that: stick her head in our cups to drink whatever was in there!! Makes me laugh that picture of Mia! LOL!!
how funny your precious Mia is with her face in the glass. Your sampler is coming along nicely. You should be done quite quickly! Looks like you son was having fun too.
I like that sampler! Why is there always over one in what I like?? That sewing caddy is a treasure. And of course, Mia.
Gorgeous, gorgeous sampler. Your table sure holds a lot of stitchy treasures :D
LOL! Mia better be careful her head doesn't get stuck in the glass.
Hugs,
Veronica.
Never Let You Go is coming along wonderfully, well done.
Beautiful progress! You'll have this one done in no time.
Mia looks like she's grown some more! She didn't get her head stuck? She was really going for it!
Wow! I love this one. The colors are so fun. I love the cow.
Your treasures are wonderful to see, you have some amazing pincushions.
Hugs to you and Mia!
Magnifique ouvrage.Merci de partager tes merveilles.Bises made in France .Brigitte
Silly, Mia! What a funny kitty :)
Your sampler is gorgeous, Margaret. The grass in your yard actually looks a bit like my yard right now. (Husband accidentally used Round-up on the weeds and ended up killing patches of grass all over the yard! He planted seed in the patches, but they seem to be growing in in different colors--very weird looking out there right now!!)
Silly silly Mia! I hope her head didn't get stuck in the glass! Beautiful progress on the sampler too! I always like Beth's designs.
So.close.to.finishing!!!!!! :)
My lawn looks just like that come August. The parts under the trees are deep green and the parts where the full sun hits all day are lighter. Totally happens!!
Beautiful Margaret as always! Love all your sewing items on your table...ahhh...the thimble holder is darling...as well as your Mia!
Wow, Magaret! Your needles have been busy!!
Love all the gadgets displayed with your TUSAL jar.
Silly Mia ~ love the smile she pulled out of your son!
Fabulous your cabinet came. It is a treasure. Beautiful sampler and I enjoyed seeing your framed work this month. Looking forward tobsering your sampler wall!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful work.
I love your pic of Mia. Yes Dear refuses to pose like that, lol. Your sampler is really coming along, Margaret. Grats on the progress. And you have lots of ORTs from this month too. (I can't believe how full some people's ORT jars get!!) I like your pear too. It's really realistic I think. Hope you're having a great week!!
Love, love, love your sampler! Who is the designer? and Mia is so cute!
Mia is so cute, they always get into SOMETHING! LOL
Your sampler is gorgeous! Love all those animals at the bottom. :)
Love this one! Such nice progress. Silly Mia! A cat could get her head stuck doing things like that!!!!!
Wow, Margaret, you are amazing! The sampler is wonderful, I'm definitely putting it on my evergrowing list. Thanks for being an enabler!

Never let you go is gorgeous! What a silly kitty! :)
What a stunning project!
Our cats like to stick their heads in glasses, too.
Gorgeous! You're probably done by now with this one! And I love your little cat thimble holder. The brass pear is lovely too. Love the photos of your two - my first thought was "they're awake!" LOL!!
Your sampler looking gorgeous, great progress
Glad to see I'm not the only one with a cat who drinks out of glasses!
The samPler is devine! My cat did exactly the same thing to a cup of water tonight although I wasn't as clever as you and didn't snap a photo. Too funny!
Pretty stitching, silly kitty, and beautiful smile! Your caddy is gorgeous!!
As always, Margaret, your sampler is gorgeous.... another masterpiece almost finished! Your stitching tools are so special too.
Now, about that little Mia:) She is just way too cute for words!
Blessings !
What a beautiful project!
Mia is always very cute :-))
It is so much fun to see your progresses, Margaret!
Your collection of smalls surrounding your TUSAL is wonderful. They look great together too.
Mia, yet again, cracks me up. She reminds me of Henny, one of the tiny parrots, who likes to drink out of my water glass. That is all right by me, until last week, when she proceeded to take a bath... Yeah, I dumped that water out after she was done.. LOL She looked very pleased with life!
your sampler is stunning Margaret
Mia is lovely too, curious little kitty x
