I love Noah and Nicholas Mosse -- and mail!

The model stitching is done for now.  And so is Noah.

Noah's Stocking by CHS
40ct. Lentil
NPI

I know, I know, he's not finished into a stocking yet.  I have to think on that.  lol!

(Don't you like the sunrise on Noah?)

Love that ark!

And how cool is that alligator?  (Or crocodile.)

I also have been showered with prizes and gifts lately.  Christ of Tot Hill Farm Stitches gave me this lovely chart of Jane A. Jackson.  Thank you, Chris!  I love it!  (I took the chart out of the plastic to avoid the glare.)

RuthB of The Musing Badger sent me this wonderful prize of a cache of fibers.

There are a slew of Gentle Arts fibers, a slew of Belle Soie silks, a couple of Waterlilies silks, a few Carrie's Creations, and a Needle Necessities.  All so pretty too!  Thank you, RuthB!

And BeckySC of Beckybee's Stitching Hive sent me this lovely gift out of the blue.  I was so surprised and touched.

It's a beautiful wooden box with Becky's lovely stitching on top.  Thank you so much, Becky!  You are so sweet!  I will treasure this forever!

A blogging friend asked me the other day to show off my Nicholas Mosse pottery collection.  Her sharp eyes spotted a few pieces on the table for our Thanksgiving feast, and she asked to see more.

Well, I've been collecting Nicholas Mosse Pottery for years and years.  In fact, the pictures of my collection I'm going to show you are from quite a few years back.  I took them back when the boy child was in middle school and had braces.  (Yes, that's the boy child.  lol!)

Isn't he cute?  Oh yeah, and that's my pottery collection.  A bit much, huh?  I'm very good at collecting through the years.  lol!

I've added one or two more pieces since those pictures were taken.  But we'll ignore that fact.  lol!  I'm a devoted fan of Nicholas Mosse, in case you couldn't tell.  We always use my dishes for the holidays of the year.  The kids look forward to choosing which plate they will use.

Sorry for the long post.  I just had a backlog of things I've been meaning to post about so I thought I'd do it in one fell swoop.

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week.  And many wishes to everyone for a Happy Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, or whatever you might celebrate.  Enjoy all the festivities and celebrations!

Noah is spectacular, Margaret! Your stocking collection is growing as is my need for a larger drool bib. LOL. LOVE all of them!

And your pottery collection! That stuff is just ridiculously pretty ... I love it! Too cute about the kids choosing which plate they want to use.

What a great post! I have two thoughts about Noah: 1. There are WAY more than a pair of bunnies (This strikes me as quite funny, the way they are packed down into the toe, with one small rabbit having gotten loose from the hutch and migrating north) 2. There are no foxes. :(

But, I still love Noah! Also I enjoyed seeing your pottery collection--the cookie jar (I think that it is one) is my favorite because the flowers remind me of clover, which is a favorite flower of mine.

Merry Christmas week!

Your gifts are so touching and I LOVE the stocking!! I have a couple of them, but not that one...One day I would like to stitch them all....Another thing on my bucket list~~

The pottery collection is breathe taking!! I see you are quite the collector.... I can see why the kids like picking out their plate come Christmas.

Hope your Christmas is great Margaret. I know you will enjoy having the family home and taking time to make a few new memories!

Looking forward to a year of new stitching in 2012, Faye

What a great post, Margaret! I love your Noah - he turned out great! You received some lovely things and the gift from Becky is wonderful. Now... about your pottery collection. How is it I didn't know about this? It's beautiful and I fear another obsession coming on... I will not collect more pottery, I will not collect more pottery, I will not collect more pottery. Maybe if I say it often enough, I'll adhere to the saying. Doubtful...

Lovely gifts Margaret and of course fabulous stitching as always. I brought four Nicholas Mosse coffee mugs home from Ireland, wrapped in my clothes, I just love them but we can't buy them here. Maybe it's time I looked online and started a little collection....

Noah is fabulous! I love the croco-gator, he's got to be my favorite. Now I'm regretting not bringing all of my CHS charts with me, oh well, its preventing me from starting something new and working on my WIPs.

You really did hit the jackpot with the gifts and prizes. Becky's box is lovely. Suck a simple and sweet motif, but so elegantly finished.

Margaret, Didn't you just start that stocking? It's beautiful. I have always loved Mosse pottery but stayed with my redware collection. And no, you cannot have too much of a collection!

Lovely gifts for a special gal!

Zoinks!!! Be still my heart. You do know that showing pictures of pottery is like showing porn photos to me, right?? LOL I LOVE pottery and am in awe of your collection. It's funny, I've seen it in shops but I have this thing about buying pottery from local potters--I don't want to buy made in China pottery that is supposed to be Pennsylvania redware when I'm in PA, know what I mean? So, anyway, I admired the pottery but didn't look at it because I didn't know it was Irish. I did a google search to read about it and OMG! It's Irish! Then, just the next day I was driving the kids to school and saw a display of the pottery in a shop window in town. Now I am bugging DH about how I need to collect it, too. :D

Great job on the Noah stocking!! You are a stitching machine, gf!! I love the box from Becky, too, and all the floss, etc. Lucky you!
