Let there be light

Actually, I'd love some sunshine.  :D   Anyway, with flooding issues (twice in one week) and other things going on, I only got a bit done on my JB Creation Sampler.

It's a fun piece to stitch though.

I'll be stitching on something secret for a while so progress will be slow.

The girl child came home yesterday for Spring Break.  Not sure how long she'll be here, but we'll take what we can.  Here's a poster advertising one of the shows she was in.  She's the poster girl!

Pretty cool, huh?

And speaking of performing, remember when the boy child was in Battle of the Bands?  Well, he was, with his jazz band -- a little group that the kids formed, not connected to the school's Jazz Ensemble.  Here are some clips of them performing.  They're not bad!

I hope they work.  Don't know how to make them bigger.

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I always enjoy our visits.  It's almost spring!  Yay!

Congratulations to your daughter! She makes a great poster child for Dance! What an honor.

Loving your JB Creation. Your slow progress is faster than my speedy progress! :)

I always enjoy the clips of your son. He is so talented!

What wonderfully talented children you have!! Loved the music clips! Do you have any clips of your daughter dancing?

JB Creation is moving right along - have that one in my pile to do when I get one of those "round tuit" things!

What a beautiful composition your daughter made on the poster. Awesome! And I listened to each one of your son's jazz band performances! AWESOME! Katie just had three jazz band performances and she had a solo in each :) Exciting stuff :) I especially liked the little dance they did in the last song. CUTE!
Your A&E is stunning....it'll be done next week, I just know it will :)

Wow!! I loved the poster of your daughter--how neat! What an amazing keepsake for her. Your son's videos are wonderful, too. I can't wait to show my son when he gets home from school. I wish we'd kept my kids in music and dance when they said they wanted to stop--I think we all regret that decision now! Anyway, fantastic stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Nice progress on the Creation Sampler! It's amazing what you can get done, even with all the flooding chaos. It looks great.

Ugh for the flooding but Brava! for the girlchild. How lovely she is! I didn't realize she was a dancer. How great that they are both in the performing arts.

Flooding--gah! Glad it's not in our town, but it's all around us here, too.

JB looks gorgeous, but DD might be better! Love her costume. :o

As for DS, I'd love to see it but the old (brown cow) computer ain't what she used to be and running video is a pain. Awesome that you captured it, though!

Margaret - I can hear your son thumping out the bass notes very well on those clips - awesome what we can do now with blogs isn't it - your DD looks gorgeous on the poster - what a cool costume and a great keepsake for her. Your Creation is rocking right along - it's on my wish list. Hope your trials and tribulations around the homestead are over and spring is just around the corner for you. Have a great week ! Mel

How neat that your daughter is featured on the dance poster, Margaret! And, having had a son in many jazz bands, the videos brought back wonderful memories...I think they played "Song For My Father" too!

Creation Sampler is so pretty. I started this same one last night but have notj gotten very far. You will be finished in no time. Your daughter's show poster is gorgeous! I think it's neat that your son has formed a jazz band with his friends apart from school. :) I'm so with you on the spring thing. It's cold and rainy here right now. I'm looking so forward to sunshine and warmer days.
