Waiting.....

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes for my FIL.  Right now it's a waiting game.  He will be having triple bypass surgery, but it won't happen for 3 to 5 weeks.  So it's a matter of waiting.  Hard to do.

I have nothing new to show except for the same old same old.  Here is my progress on the Richmond Sampler.  I cheated and finished the house even though this month's assignment only called for the roof and left chimney.

I tried doing the over one parts in the little cage in actual over one.  I managed it with the berries but decided to just go with tent stitch over one after that.  I don't understand how people manage to fit over one on 40ct!  I can only do letters.  lol!

Here's my progress on And They Sinned.  It's going to be cloud city for a while with this one.

Ah well, a good audiobook and I'm all set for fill in stuff.

In other news, things are gearing up for the boy child with all his musical activities.  He had his first Area All State rehearsal this past week (all All State students have to do the Area All State concert in November as well as the All State concert in December).  Plus he had his first rehearsal for pit duties for the high school musical.  The next few weeks will be Area All State and pit duties added to his usual mix of tons of activities so there will be no rest for the weary!

The girl child should be home this Friday or Saturday.  She doesn't believe in communicating with us much, so I don't know exactly when she'll be coming home for her midterm break.  But she'll be home for a week next week.

Finally, I tried to catch a non-blurry picture of the boy child and Mia, but it was pretty impossible.  This was the best I could do.

The two of them only stay still when they're sleeping.  lol!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi as always.  Have a great week!

Love your progress on both samplers - the over-1 is so pretty! And thanks for sharing the gorgeous pics of your son and Mia. Again, all the best for your FIL - having to wait for this kind of thing truly stinks :-(

Continued thoughts and prayers to your FIL.

Your stitching is beautiful! I agree, I am amazed that anyone can stitch over one on 40 count!

Lovely work, I cannot believe how fast you stitch! I also love the pics of you family when you share. Plus I have a soft spot for black and white kitties.

I know all about the lack of communicating with girl children!

Your WIP's are coming along nicely, I just love the colors in the first one and I can't do crosses on 40 count either.

I will keep your FIL in my prayers.

Have a great day!

Hi Margaret! Your samplers are amazing. I'm with you...how do you make a complete cross stitch on 40 count? I'm impressed you even did the tent stitch!
Thanks a ton for sending Deb the thread list for ATS, so she could help me out. I'm getting the fabric (yikes!) and I hope to join you soon on the SAL.
Sorry I've missed your passed few posts. I hope your FIL improves really soon. Heart trouble is a scary thing.
Hugs.

I can't believe how much you've gotten done on the Richmond Sampler!!! Wow. And it's so pretty. You're making great progress on ATS, but doesn't that cloud stink? It seems to take forever!!

Cute pictures of the kitten too. She's getting so big!

Fantastic progress on both samplers. I love the way your Richmond sampler is taking shape - it is so pretty. I have reached the tree in ATS, which is slow going because there is so much going on. I am loving it though.

So many things to love about the Richmond sampler, and best of all is the house. Cute pics of Boy Child and Cat Child, and I'm loving the picture of the Beatles? (John Lennon at least) over Boy Child's shoulder. Rock on! You are a woman of taste and substance!

You've made some serious progress! Both samplers are looking really nice. I haven't tried over one yet at all but doing it on 40 count sounds like a nightmare.

Your son and Mia are so cute! You can tell that they are really attached to each other.

I'm in cloud city too...working on the center part of the cloud now that I have both sides done. You're just zooming along and will pass me in no time. Richmond is looking great - I love the little bird cage. And I had to laugh at you cheating and doing more than this month's assignment.
