Testing, testing.....

I have to test out this supposed new editor in blogger.  Thanks to the help of expert bloggers like Nicole and Siobhan,  I've widened the posting area so as to get bigger pictures.  My dear Father Type has been trying to figure out how to make the lovely background conform to the new shape of things on the blog.  It's not perfect, but it will do for now.  I may end up removing it or just living with it.  :D  So anyway, now you all get to see more pictures of Frederick as part of my testing here.  I'm all set to start Freddie himself.

You can see the bird shape in the middle there.  I've stitched all the motifs around him except for the date (1831) and a tiny flower in the bottom right hand corner.  And of course I need to stitch Fred himself and the two borders that are left.

 Aren't you enjoying the testing?

Now all I have to do is take better pictures.  lol!

Well, here's hoping the larger picture thingie worked.  I guess I'll find out soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

ps -- I may try Flickr next time.  Hmmmmmm........

Love the project, I can't wait to start this one and the companion to it. FYI, when I maximize my screen the words on the left overlap into your border, when I minimize it the info on the right overlaps into the border. Hope that helps, CJ ok;-)

Hey Margaret. The middle of your background needs to be a little wider. I made my own background using photoshop. Do you think the designer of your template has a 3 column design for the same thing?? I think that would work. Good luck! Fred looks wonderful by the way! :)

I love the new look and I love the stage you are stitching for Fred! I'm dancing between 'should I or shouldn't I?' as to whether to stitch this pair of lovebirds!

Your photos are looking good!

Wonderful testing! :D

Fred's spot is looking fabulous. How on earth do you make so much wonderful progress in such a short time? You don't actually sleep, do you?! I knew it! ;)

You are so prolific!!!! I've scrolled through a number of your latest posts and all the needlework is wonderful. I especially love the sampler dedicated to your mother.

Also what a lovely tribute to your DH.

Fred looks fabulous! On your blog - in blogger, which template do you have chosen? It makes a difference in the size - I use "Minima Stretch". Just something to play around with...while you can use the Cutest blog overlay, you might try to change the underlying template - just a thought.

Margaret, I love the colors of Fred. It's going to be a lovely piece.

I wish I could get the whole picture thing figured out for my blog. It always chops off the right side of my picture.
