Couldn't resist

I saw this idea on Siobhan's blog, who saw it on someone else's and I couldn't resist the idea. I'm planning on taking some of these in for framing today so it was my last chance.

Don't they look cool this way?

Let's see if I can remember what they all are. From left to right they are: The Historic Countries Mystery Sampler from TGOSM, Time and Season by Moira Blackburn, The Plantation Sampler by Canterbury Designs, This is the Day by Hands to Work, Dutch Beauty by Permin, Lois Minshall by Threads of Gold, Rachel Hyde by Threads through Time, Ann Rogers by the Essamplaire, Hannah Lancaster by the Porcupine Collection, and Charlotte Clayton by the NW Sampler Guild.

I have a plan for framing. Some I will take to my LNS, some I will send to Jill Rensel for that Jill touch, and some I will send to Valley House Primitives -- I love their hand grained frames!

I forgot to mention in my last post for those of you who are interested in stitching the Plantation Sampler. Tracy J has started a blog dedicated to the piece and to stitching and admiring it. If you're interested, click here. I joined a bit late. I got to show off my finish. :D

In other news, the father type had a nice relaxing Father's Day yesterday; Wimbledon has started; the boy child just finished his last final ("It was easy."); and the girl child can't wait to come home. She'll be home Saturday evening. Unbelievable!

Oh, and I did start stitching something, but I'm not showing it yet. I'll just say I needed something small to get a quick finish. Hopefully I'll show it soon.

Have a great week, everyone!

And you didn't mention that I am now a Flame Warden of Kalimdor! 'course that doesn't have much to do with stitching, I admit...

Your picture is great - very neat idea.

I can't wait to see the finished products. The Plantation Sampler is on my list - between you and The Scarlett House I just had to add to my list of wants.

Oh I'm totally in drool-mode! Very very impressive bunch of lovely stitching! I'm looking forward to seeing the framed pieces.

ps - I thought about doing the same thing over the weekend (bundling the finishes) then realized I have to stitch a whole bunch more first! ;-)

I had to laugh that you needed a quick finish - Everything you do is a quick finish my dear friend! LOL - this display of huge samplers is simply smashing! truly I'm awestruck and can't wait to see them framed - it's nice that you are using different framers for different effects.

Wow, Margaret. What eye candy. I can't wait to see all of these framed! They're going to look spectacular. And you crack me up about wanting quick projects - I think you're the fastest stitcher I know. It would take me two weeks to stitch some small LHN piece and it only took you about that long to stitch the Plantation Sampler. Your needles amaze me.

I was thinking exactly the same thought as Woolwoman, lol. Great show of samplers!

Those ARE gorgeous, Margaret. I can't wait to see your framed masterpieces come back!

I'd like to do a pic like this - even with my wips but alas, there's not enough stitching on any of them to make the picture worthwhile. Rolled fabric just wouldn't have the same impact!

You are one amazing woman!

This looks really beautiful! And you stitched so many samplers, how many years were you stitching on them?
I've got the plantation sampler in my stash, maybe I have to get a start, now there is a blog dedicated to it :)
Thanks for being such a regular visitor at my site, I really appreciate your lovely comments :)
