The French Open has been keeping me company while I stitch my Red Deer Sampler. I have to say the border is what attracted me to this sampler -- so pretty!
And here's my fussy cut star for the week, using another Jo Morton Woodland fabric.
The fabric reminds me of suit fabric -- pinstripe?? So fun!
Mia has been keeping me company while I stitch this week.
Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Have a great week!
Beautiful! Love the colors. What fabric are you using? Nice to have tennis to watch while stitching. I haven't picked up a needle in over two weeks. Too much work to do outside, so I am living vicariously by stopping by to read about your progress!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, that is one awesome border! Love all the colors. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sampler! The deer is so cool. :)
ReplyDeleteThe red glasses and the red scissors go perfect with the red deer.

Great progress on your Red Deer sampler! Love the fussy cut star too.
ReplyDeleteLoving the red!! That was what I thought when I saw your star. In my Crazy Quilt life collected kimono fabrics, and lots of them had similar designs. Mia looks like she may be having a little oxygen! LoL

You are right--that border on the Red Deer is striking!
ReplyDeleteYour fussy cuts just get better and better.
That is a much more interesting border than the typical ones. And I love how you match your accessories to the colors in the sampler!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a companion. Does Mia like tennis?
I love crossed kitty paws!
ReplyDeleteYou're making nice progress on the deer sampler!
That border is awesome with all the different colors of flowers - it must be fun to stitch and perfect for working on while watching TV. Glad to see Mia is holding up her end of the bargain and keeping you company.
ReplyDeleteThat boarder is gorgeous. Love you glasses and scissors to match.
ReplyDeleteThe border IS fantastic and one of the reasons I was drawn to it too!! That and the red deer. He's just so cool! You've really forged ahead with this sampler...I'm always amazed! Great fussy cut this week. Makes me think of pin stripe suits :D Mia is adorable as usual...Miss sleepy pants!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can see why the border caught your attention! The colors are gorgeous!! Since I am done now with SDW, this might have to be a new start contender!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sampler. I wish I had time to stitch...sigh, but I just hate putting down my rug hook.
ReplyDeleteHugs :)
Lauren
You are right, that border around the sampler is really beautiful, all these flowers in different colours. I often look at the border first when I see a sampler, they are often an eye catcher.
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the prettiest border ever, Margaret--really fun and colorful! I understand why it attracted your attention..
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your tennis and stitching time with Miss Mia keeping you company :)
Your Red deer sampler is looking gorgeous, great progress.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Wimbledon this year as I'm actually going to be able to sit down and stitch to some of it live for the first time since Rosie was a baby!
I love the way your glasses and scissors match the red of the deer - beautiful work as usual and Furio and Milo say "Miaow" to Mia.
