A model is stitched......

I don't usually post on Fridays, but I just had to make an exception this time.  Remember back around the turn of the year when I said I was doing some model stitching?  One of the models was for Paulette of Plum Street Samplers.

You already know I love Paulette's designs, right?  After all, she is the most represented designer on my A&E wall.  (There are 3 out of 12 A&E designs that are hers!)  Well, I was thrilled to take over the model stitching for Nicole on this design.  I did the majority of the stitching after Nicole's start, and Paulette finished it up.  And I just loved stitching on this piece!!!

May I present Brother's Keeper.

Isn't it just gorgeous??  The picture is from Paulette's blog, who takes much better pictures than I do.  Paulette is releasing this one at Nashville market, which isn't too far away now!

If you're interested in details on this design, just go to Paulette's blog.  She has all the low down there.  And take a look at the other design she's releasing too -- love it!!

Thanks so much, Paulette, for trusting me to stitch this piece for you.  I still want to stitch it up for myself too!

  3. Gorgeous! I wish Paulette had released a little larger resolution so that I could see more detail on the frame...but I can understand why she did not!

  12. Beautiful model stitching Margaret. I still can't get over how quickly you stitched this sampler for Paulette. I'm happy to hear that you plan on stitching it for yourself too.
That was the biggest drawback for me in my model stitching days... I never wanted to stitch the design again for myself.

  16. Margaret, it's beautiful. Your stitching is so lovely, no wonder you are a model stitcher...in more than just stitching for a designer:)

  17. I love this Margaret! I am definitely adding this to my stash. I saw a picture of it somewhere, and I remember thinking how much I liked it. I didn't know that this was the "Brother's Keeper" chart you were telling me about. Great job stitching!
Hope you get time to work on something fun this weekend. The Amish girl really gave me fits. I'm glad to have her done! I'm working on the boy today, and he should be done tonight.
    Hugs to you!

  19. Another win for Paulette - you guys all did a great job stitching it! I have one of her samplers already up in my daughter's room and am planning two more, but now it will be three... so little time to stitch!

  21. Hey Margaret, finally had a minute to sit and send you off a note. Fingers crossed for Boy Child getting into his first choice for school -

Love the photos of Mia, will have to send along a shot of Ms Saddles for you to see. Hopefully on my blog.

For they Sinned is on my list for someday!!!

Love the design that Paulette created and how fun that you could do the model stitch.

I also, have the "toy chest" to stitched and finish. Will cheer you and your friend on. Hope to get to mine by April - need to get other things stitched first.

    Chat with you soon.

  23. Yep! I thought of you the minute I saw it on the Attic's newsletter this morning.... "I'll bet that's the model that Nicole and Margaret were working on!" Her pieces are deceiving...they take longer than you think they will... Paradise Lost and the one I'm working on now are both taking much longer than I had anticipated (I'm not a turbo stitcher like you missy!) It is lovely Margaret!

  39. Wow, so much to catch up on in the couple of weeks I haven't been able to read blogs. I really love this design, and knew I wanted it the first time I saw a picture. You did a lovely job with the model stitching!

Your Amy Mitten project is absolutely gorgeous. Its going to be a beautiful piece. I'm hoping I can take one of her classes at some point in the future. ATS might still be a WIP, but is lovely, and as long as you're making some progress, it will get finished!

Good luck to the boy child with school acceptance letters and auditions, and give Mia a scratch for me.
