I don't usually post on Fridays, but I just had to make an exception this time. Remember back around the turn of the year when I said I was doing some model stitching? One of the models was for Paulette of Plum Street Samplers.
You already know I love Paulette's designs, right? After all, she is the most represented designer on my A&E wall. (There are 3 out of 12 A&E designs that are hers!) Well, I was thrilled to take over the model stitching for Nicole on this design. I did the majority of the stitching after Nicole's start, and Paulette finished it up. And I just loved stitching on this piece!!!
May I present Brother's Keeper.
Isn't it just gorgeous?? The picture is from Paulette's blog, who takes much better pictures than I do. Paulette is releasing this one at Nashville market, which isn't too far away now!
If you're interested in details on this design, just go to Paulette's blog. She has all the low down there. And take a look at the other design she's releasing too -- love it!!
Thanks so much, Paulette, for trusting me to stitch this piece for you. I still want to stitch it up for myself too!
It's gorgeous Margaret, Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteOh Margaret...as soon as I saw this one I knew it was the model you stitched!! I love the design and I love your stitching. BEAUTIFUL
ReplyDeleteLove it! You did a great job, Margaret. Well done, you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I wish Paulette had released a little larger resolution so that I could see more detail on the frame...but I can understand why she did not!
ReplyDeleteLucky you!
ReplyDeleteYou and this design are amazing! I saw the design on Attic Newsletter and then Paulette's blog--it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have already added this design to my shopping list.
Margaret,
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. You do such lovely work. Congrats.
I will have to add this to my wish list. Thank you for sharing your picture.
Paulette said on her blog you stitched this in ten days?! You are amazing--beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous dear Margaret. WOW!!
ReplyDeleteGrea job, Margaret! That is really a very cool design.
ReplyDeleteMargaret - It is lovely - congrats a job well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgoeus design and beautiful stitching...
ReplyDeleteonce again
Super nice Margaret. Lucky is the designer that chooses you as their stitcher.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching, Margaret!! I can't thank you enough for taking over for me!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful model stitching Margaret. I still can't get over how quickly you stitched this sampler for Paulette. I'm happy to hear that you plan on stitching it for yourself too.
ReplyDeleteThat was the biggest drawback for me in my model stitching days... I never wanted to stitch the design again for myself.
Great job Margaret. This will be a definite purchase for me this year:))
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing design.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job on the model stitching.
Margawret
What a beautiful piece Margaret! Congrats on the wonderful finish. So nice for you to do model stitching.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, it's beautiful. Your stitching is so lovely, no wonder you are a model stitcher...in more than just stitching for a designer:)
ReplyDeleteI love this Margaret! I am definitely adding this to my stash. I saw a picture of it somewhere, and I remember thinking how much I liked it. I didn't know that this was the "Brother's Keeper" chart you were telling me about. Great job stitching!
ReplyDeleteHope you get time to work on something fun this weekend. The Amish girl really gave me fits. I'm glad to have her done! I'm working on the boy today, and he should be done tonight.
Hugs to you!
What a stunner!!!! A must for me to get and stitch!
ReplyDeleteAnother win for Paulette - you guys all did a great job stitching it! I have one of her samplers already up in my daughter's room and am planning two more, but now it will be three... so little time to stitch!
ReplyDeleteYour model stitching is gorgeous, Margaret. How fun that must have been to see and stitch it first :)
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous, Margaret! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHey Margaret, finally had a minute to sit and send you off a note. Fingers crossed for Boy Child getting into his first choice for school -
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of Mia, will have to send along a shot of Ms Saddles for you to see. Hopefully on my blog.
For they Sinned is on my list for someday!!!
Love the design that Paulette created and how fun that you could do the model stitch.
I also, have the "toy chest" to stitched and finish. Will cheer you and your friend on. Hope to get to mine by April - need to get other things stitched first.
Chat with you soon.
It is lovely Margaret - I can see why you would want to do it again for yourself.
ReplyDeleteMary
Yep! I thought of you the minute I saw it on the Attic's newsletter this morning.... "I'll bet that's the model that Nicole and Margaret were working on!" Her pieces are deceiving...they take longer than you think they will... Paradise Lost and the one I'm working on now are both taking much longer than I had anticipated (I'm not a turbo stitcher like you missy!) It is lovely Margaret!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful, Margaret - your stitching is lovely!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, you did a beautiful job stitching Brothers Keeper! And what an honor to stitch for Paulette.
ReplyDeleteOh Margaret, we were ooo-ing & ahh-ing over Paulette's newest at our sampler guild (one of our members scored an early copy). Little did we know it was your handiwork! Congratulations!!! I might have to put Ann Dale aside when my chart arrives!
ReplyDeleteThis is just absolutely beautiful ! I just love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous piece. I can see how fun it is as all the wonderful little details in each square take shape.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching! Thank you for the link.
Great job!! I love the sampler, though this story has always bugged me. ;)
ReplyDeleteAll three of you did a beautiful job!

ReplyDeleteOh it's fantastic love it. Well done and super job! X
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ......!!!!! What a great job you did on this one.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing!! I can't get over how quickly you stitched it, too. I think half of the first block would be done if it were me! LOL
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI've already been oohing and ahhing over this one after seeing it on Paulette's blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat model stitching!
What a wonderful job, truly amazing how quickly you stitched this piece. Can't wait to add it to my stash!!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous and I am lucky, lucky, lucky because I already have my chart from the Attic's Sampler Symposium :-).
ReplyDeleteWOW!! This is an amazing design! I have to peer at it some more! Margaret, you did a fantastic job!!!!!!!! And so quickly too! You always amaze me with your nimble fingers!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, so much to catch up on in the couple of weeks I haven't been able to read blogs. I really love this design, and knew I wanted it the first time I saw a picture. You did a lovely job with the model stitching!
ReplyDeleteYour Amy Mitten project is absolutely gorgeous. Its going to be a beautiful piece. I'm hoping I can take one of her classes at some point in the future. ATS might still be a WIP, but is lovely, and as long as you're making some progress, it will get finished!
Good luck to the boy child with school acceptance letters and auditions, and give Mia a scratch for me.
Congratulations on getting to stitch this beautiful model! This is a beautiful sampler!
ReplyDeleteOh my! This really is very beautiful. Congratulations on stitching such a beautiful model.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous pattern beautifully stitched. It must be hard for a model stitcher when you have on part with your work.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful design. I can't wait to get it at market.
