The first row of animals is done! Yay!
Here is my fussy cut star for the week, using another Wiscassett fabric from Minick and Simpson.
The boy child's sweater has gotten longer, slowly but surely. I'm still finding it difficult to work with wool in these hot summer months.
A certain someone wanted to come home for a week for July 4 so he could celebrate with his friends at home. We were happy to oblige.
He's been off with his friends a lot so far, but we've still had some time with him as well. Mia too.
It's time for Wimbledon withdrawal. The men's final was today -- a fantastic match -- and now it's time to start missing all the wonderful tennis and the Wimbledon atmosphere. Sigh.

This week's Fussy Star took my breath away. I am so impressed with the way you got the "flames" to meet in the middle and the symmetry of the thing. It really is spectacular.

WooHoo - great progress! I don't know how you can work with wool any during these hot days! Even if you don't have a lot of face-to-face time with the DS, it's just a good feeling knowing he's sleeping in the house, isn't it? We KNOW Mia is happy, don't we?!

Wimbledon was very exciting this year for us Canadians. Though I was busy watching the World Cup, the buzz was all over the news here! I'm sure I will have World Cup withdrawal after this week too!

What great progress! I can't say I've ever really gotten into watching sports. But I'm sure it's like me and PBS Masterpiece Mystery. I look forward to it every year and miss it when it's gone.

ReplyDeleteOh I miss Wimbledon too! There really isn't anything like it for gentle atmosphere. We'll have the U.S. Open soon, and that's a close second to W for good stitching accompaniment. :)
