The gang's all here.....

Before I get to the title of this post, here is my progress on Jane Atkinson.  I finished all those darned leaves!  Yay!  Been neglecting the over one as a result, but hopefully I'll get back to it now.

She's so lovely, Jane is.

In other news, we picked the girl child up from college on Saturday.  Forgot the camera, so no pictures.  But she's home!  Yay!  And not only that, but while we were down there, I managed to get the boy child to shop for the new shoes and summer hat he desperately needed.  And, the boys both got badly needed haircuts!  Remember how long the boy child's hair was in this picture from a few weeks ago?

Well now look at him!  And the length was his choice too!

Pretty amazing difference, huh?  I personally like it somewhere in between the two lengths, but this is good.  Knowing the boy child, he won't get another hair cut till school starts again.  lol!  Or maybe even after that!

Had to put that one in even though it's blurry.  It's hard to catch him smiling!

The two kids have been out with their friends a lot since getting home.  All the college kids are home now, so it's party time!  :D   This time of year is hard on the boy child -- the big kids are all done and home, but he still has school.  It would make it easier if all schools agreed on when to let out!  The boy child's classes don't end till June 11, and then there are 2 weeks of finals.

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I so enjoy reading your comments and visiting your blogs.  It's a great blogging world!  Enjoy the week!

  18. Love, love, love your sampler - and you are making fast progress.

Eli is very handsome under all that hair, lol. I like him with the long locks, too. The shaggy look is definitely in - I watch the guys walk down the halls here at the university and their long locks compete with the girls.

How fun to have your daughter home for the summer.

  19. Stunning Jnae Atkinson! I have been eyeing this one up myself for a long time but that tree in the middle and all those leaves always got to me a bit. It is amazing though and can't wait for you to finish it. Lovely pics of your boy too. x

  21. I was going to say before I read your words - is that the Boy smiling??? I think that's the first time I've seen a smile on his face - quite handsome with his new haircut.

Okay, I don't know what to say about Jane, but she is just stunning! I'm glad that you got all the leaves filled in....now on to the lettering.....it won't be too bad. But she is definitely stunning!!!

  23. That sure was a job to complete all those leaves but it looks super. With your son's new hairstyle he looks a bit like Jacob from the Twilight films. The girls are going to fight over him. ; )

  25. Hi Margaret,

  26. I love watching your sampler grow, Margaret. Awe inspiring. And I always enjoy the family updates as well.

Here in Nova Scotia our last day of Middle School is June 29 (H.S. graduation the previous evening), though I'm sure that won't help the boy child feel any better about his situation. We're getting used to it - although after Minnesota, where school finished the first week in June, it was quite a shock.

  27. I have really enjoyed watching you stitch your sampler. It is gorgeous!

Nice haircut on the boy child!

  28. Oh, my goodness! Boy Child looks so much mature and I love the smile on his face. A great summer hair style. Now for the sampler - how envious I am of your ambition. I'm working on a much smaller sampler and am so bored and ready to start something new. It's great to watch your progress. What an inspiration!

  29. I just run out of words to compliment your Jane - its the same every time I see her - she is stunningly beautiful.

I am not a fan of long hair, but I have to say it suits your son - I do like him with his short hair as well. I think you are right, something in between would be great.

  38. I think my son is going to get his hair cut in the next couple of months. He has enough for locks of love but not sure he's going to cut it that short. I like kind of long hair but must admit that I'm ready for him to get his cut.

  39. Jane is continuing to look wonderful! What a difference a hair cut makes!!! I remember DS#2 hating to get his hair cut at this stage! We have several funny pics of some seriously bad hair days that he hopes will never see the light of day again!!!
