I'm using the called for fibers.
The chart says that the model's verse was done in tent stitch over one. But I was stubborn and I'm doing mine in a full cross over one.
Sarah is such a pretty piece!
In other news, we finally had a snow day last week with maybe half a foot of snow. Still nothing compared to what you folks down south have gotten so far this year. This past weekend, instead of celebrating Valentine's Day like we usually do, we cleaned the house from top to bottom in preparation for a visit from my sister, BIL, their two kids and their dog. They couldn't stay long, just a couple of nights, but it was nice to see them and hang out. And of course, it decided to snow more for their drive to their next destination today. Silly weather! And silly me -- I didn't take a single picture while they were here! Didn't take a single stitch either. Ah well!
Now it's Winter Break this week, so the boy child is lying around being bored and not wanting to practice his bass. He had a lot of fun with his fellow boy cousin while they were here, but now he's waiting for one of his good friends to get home from Florida so they can hang out. It's snowing, but for some reason it's melting away on the driveway. Which is a good thing -- less shoveling to do later!

ReplyDeleteIt is in the 50s and sunny here in south Texas. I don't miss the Ohio winters. We have been here since July. We didn't get any of the snow that Dallas got. Just a cold rain and a flake or two.

ReplyDeleteSarah is such an exquisite sampler and look awesome on the maple sugar - I've wanted to try that color but have just hesitated to order something I may not like and I don't often have the luxury of seeing in person. This is another one I've had stashed for a while but don't dare start at this time. Maybe when the "wool fever" of winter is over - I might get more sampler stitching done. Mel

ReplyDeleteI am completely amazed at how fast you stitch on 40ct! I go at a snail's pace on high counts LOL. Sarah is looking fantastic and the fabric colour is perfect for those pretty thread colours! :)
ReplyDeleteYour Sarah is gorgeous Margaret. I debate about the full or tent stitch over one too... I chose to do the full cross on my Ann Medd. You have to go with what looks best to your eye.

Margaret - I am amazed at how much you have completed in such a short amount of time and she is just beautiful. I have this piece in my stash but now that I think about it, the fabric I ordered in October never arrived to me, I'll have to check on that.

Sarah is beautiful.!. I would say I was jealous but I do own this chart and could stitch it also. I'm not up to stitch on 40ct though so you are on your own for that. You have a lot finished already. You've been hiding her from us - more pics please.

Ahhhh, Sarah Woodham is looking so great. The border is really beautiful although maybe not a total fun stitch, lol.

Our eldest boy child has also fallen victim to the 'I'm bored vacation blues' and is now at his grandma's house. Though he hasn't practiced guitar, he's been pretty good about the trumpet.

Your Sarah Woodham is looking really good. You have made great progress. I am hoping to get mine finished up this weekend so that I can start on something new. All I have left is a couple of the flowers on the right side and 3 verses.
