Autumn is coming!!

Here it's the day before September -- how did that happen?!  Seriously, getting old makes time fly even faster.  Anyway, I wanted to check in quickly with a progress picture of my current project, the Yell Cardigan by Marie Wallin.

One sleeve is finished to the ribbing, and the other is almost to the same point.  Being short and short armed, I had to shorten the sleeves.  I'm waiting to do the ribbing till I cut open the front steek and am able to try the cardigan on.  Fingers crossed, the sleeves will be a good length and my calculations were on target!  The picture shows the back of the cardigan.

I'm currently enjoying the US Open (tennis!) and also enjoying the overall cooler weather.  Hoping that Hurricane Dorian blows out to sea!

  1. Not only are you a fabulous knitter, you are remarkably fast! This one is a beauty. Fingers crossed down here in the Sunshine State...it makes for such a stressful weekend!

  2. OMG the sweater is amazing. The detail and color work is well beyond my skills. Fingers cross the sizing will work out for you. Right you are time sure flies by quicker with every passing year. I'm not ready for fall, but it seems to be here early anyway. We've had cooler than normal temps which makes me worry about how cold fall and winter will be. I don't watch the tennis, but have a friend who went in person, as she is an avid player and watcher of the sport. Hubby is at our first college football game today, but with the Vertigo thing still going...I didn't go with him.

Well, at least you are well prepared for cold winter weather with all of your TRULY gorgeous sweaters that you've knit over the past year. This one is just amazing! Hugs to Miss Mia--glad the storm didn't hit you!
