Birthday boy and stitching

Here is my progress on A Yuletide Sampler.


I do love stitching on this one.


Yesterday was the Father Type's birthday.  We had a nice day together sans children.  Topped off by a yummy birthday dinner of prime rib for the Father Type and shrimp for me at one of our favorite restaurants.


Followed by a bit of dessert.


I think the birthday boy was quite satisfied.


We even had a nice video chat with the boy child, and a nice texting chat with the girl child.

Mia has been staying snug.

    Belated birthday wishes to the fatherly-type. That should be easy for me to remember in the future as yesterday was the 3rd anniversary of my back surgery, and today is our youngest grandson's 3rd birthday.

    Margaret all the pretty peacocks in Yuletide Sampler provided the inspiration for me to start CHS "Charity". What a great birthday dinner - prime rib and chocolate - 2 of my favs. Always good to see a happy Mia.

    Yuletide looks fabulous... I want to run to my stitching chair and stitch away on my piece now after seeing your piece so far along.
    The shrimp dish and that dessert looks very yummy... I bet it tastes great too.

    Happy Birthday to your husband! That cake looks delish and I'm sure the two of you enjoyed every bite! Yuletide is nearly done...can't believe how fast you stitch!! It's so pretty. Paulette really has quite the eye for a good sampler. Love the photo of Mia under the quilt! So cute!

    Love your Yuletide Sampler. I just received my stash on Friday so I need to figure out whether to stitch this now or do one more smaller project in between!

    The colors in Yuletide Sampler are so striking. It's amazing how different it looks from the chart to actually seeing it stitched.
