I'm up to the third color, a pretty blue.
I spent a lot of time watching Wimbledon.
Hooray for Andy Murray! Also for Marian Bartoli, and the Bryan brothers. But yeah, Andy Murray had me stressing out on Sunday. lol!
I read somewhere that the superstitious said it was in the stars that Murray would win. Seventy-seven years since a Briton had won Wimbledon, Virginia Wade, the last woman Brit to win, won in '77, and yesterday was the 7th day of the 7th month. :D
Mia has been busy as usual.
(That's a mostly empty Poland Spring water bottle pack she's in.)
Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi. I hope everyone has a great week.
Fanastic win, if I had a racket in my hand whilst watching, the TV would have had it!! Andy deserved it, he was so much better than Novak!
ReplyDeleteGreat knitting, Mia will wrap that around her soon lol
Have a great week-:)
What a pretty knit piece you have there. Sweet Mia!
ReplyDeleteI agree, hurray for Andy!!!
ReplyDeleteMia = dollbaby :)
Could you hear us screaming at our t.v.? What an exciting match that was...and a fabulous win for Andy! Great knitting!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,
Robyn
A ton of knitting to go with that ton of TV! Exciting tournament this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat knitting - the colours are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow tennis, but I did read that there was also an Italian winner, in the junior tournament :-)
Ahh! Those colors remind me of Autumn, my favorite season!
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the knitting in the summer? LOL It looks wonderful, but it cracks me up to see people knitting in the summer. Of course, I pulled out some yarn for grannies so look whose talking! Great project for watching tennis though.
ReplyDeleteI heard that it was a very exciting and emotional match! It's interesting the facts of the sevens that you'd mentioned. Sometimes you have to scratch your head at some of these "coincidences"
ReplyDeleteGreat knitting! Hey, did the knitting get tighter for the final game? ;-) LOL.
such a sweet knit piece :)
ReplyDeletekisses for mia x
and for you too xxxxxxxxxxx
It looks like you have definitely fallen with your beautiful knitting....such pretty colors and the yarn is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was catching up with your stitching progress too, and must say that 'Dorothy Walpole' is really beautiful too...will enjoy watching your progress on her.
As always, what would you do with that incredibly amazing Mia? She is so adorable:)
Blessings & Hugs!
I like your color choices. Not a tennis fan so I have no idea who those people are, but hope your choice wins!
ReplyDeleteStress doesn't begin to cover it LOL.
ReplyDeleteI was hanging off the edge of my chair through that match. Fantastic result!
Your knitting is looking great so far.
Margaret
beautiful knitting, the match was great. Happy for Andy...
ReplyDeleteLove that knitting Margaret, I've been crocheting for the new baby, a good occupation for winter I find.
ReplyDeleteHope you're well...
Lizzie

You can only imagine the delight here in Scotland when Andy won!
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret. I get your updates and thoroughly enjoy them! keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteLynn from Ontario Canada
Great knitting!! That was a great match for sure! I was happy for him. That crowd was wild!! from the first volley on! My favorite match though was Del Potro and Djokovic semis. That was also a wild ride! Now we will have to wait for the US Open :)
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOooo, that's moving right along! I haven't been able to tolerate knitting lately with this weather. :(
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is coming along nicely - very pretty! Guess the stars were right in regards to the Wimbledon winner. :) And you're right Mia has been busy - busy being cute as a button. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your project!! Silly Mia ~ she always makes me simile!
ReplyDeleteYour blanket looks so pretty. Cute pics of Mia as always.

I don't know how you knit and follow tennis, too, Margaret--but you've had beautiful results! I'm not a tennis follower--know nothing about the game actually, but everyone seems happy that Andy Murray came out the winner!
ReplyDeleteI love your stole. I'm tempted to order it but it just never get cold enough in Florida to wear one !! It's sure beautiful though !!
ReplyDeleteAnd sweet Mia is so much fun to watch. All 3 of my granddaughters have found kittens to love and take care of. I'm so proud of them choosing to be guardians of these sweet and entertaining heart warmers!!
Hugs and have a great needlework week !!
LOVE the shawl - man you are flying but like I said - nothing better than Wimbledon watching and knitting. Interesting about the numbers coincidence of the 77 vs 7th day and 7th month. take care Mel
ReplyDeleteI so want to knit too but samplers have mein control. I get the itch to knit every fall so I'l lhave to finish my WIPs by then. I love the sweater-the colours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely knitting. I really should go back to mine but I can't find time in my busy stitching schedule lol!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't bare to watch all the match on Sunday! I watched the final 20 minutes and that was tense enough! So pleased to finally have a male British champion again and well deserved too.
What are you stitching Margaret? Not sure if you mentioned it before, if so, oops! Lovely colours that you're using. I see Mia is happily playing in all sorts of stuff!! I like her poses...so cute!
ReplyDeleteI knew you were watching Wimbelton.
ReplyDeletePretty knitting, Margaret. Boy are you making quick progress. Glad you enjoyed the tennis while working away with yarn!
ReplyDeleteLOL - Mia sure finds lots of cozy "nesting" spots!
Love your knitting Margaret. I'm knitting too at the moment while travelling around in Europe . Mia is cute as always :)
