Multi-tasking

I seemed to be multi-tasking this week.  I got the other big bird filled in on Rachel, and worked on the bottom border as well.

And I discovered that my magnifiers match the red in Rachel.

I finished the clouds and sun on Manifesto.

And I got that 4th row of hexies sewn onto the Hex on the Beach quilt.

I love seeing the beginnings of the pattern coming out!

An anonymous commenter asked about where I got my Hex on the Beach quilt kit.  I'm sorry to say I think it's sold out everywhere.  I looked where I bought mine and I don't see it anymore.

Mia has been a bit topsy turvy this week.  I have a feeling having us gone for 4 days really threw her off schedule.  But she's getting back to normal.  And she's enjoying the spring days too.

The open windows, and the sunshine.

And also a lap when the father type is sitting in her chair.  (Yes, it's her chair, not the father type's.)

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

  2. Love, love, love all of your pieces Margaret. And just so you know what an enabler you are: 1) Rachel arrived from the Attic last week and my fingers are itching to start. 2) Have the silk gauze for Manifesto and ordered the Millennium frame. I'm trying to decide if I should use the Soie d'Alger silk or Splendor silk. 3) Ordered Hex on the Beach quilt kit a while back and I'm so glad I did when I did. Haven't started it but I will.

I'm working on Gigi R Isabella Fox and am loving every minute. I visited my sisters last week, took a wonderful class from Jackie duPlesse and took a quick trip to Shepherd's Bush.

So much to do...and so little time. Yesterday I was wishing I had 8 arms !! LOL Hugs to you and Mia. I'll try to post on my blog soon.

  22. Hi, Margaret,
Rachel is beautiful, I love the colors on the birds. I love the quilt hanging behind your hubby, too, did you make that? Is the beach quilt like a grandmother's garden? I have always wondered how they make those, never thought about sewing them by rows. Manifesto is great, mine is coming along too, it is hard to put down! Have a nice week!

  43. Rachel is just wonderful - I love love it ! Manifesto is so brillantly colored. I'm still procrastinating about the silk gauze - I know I need to work on a frame but just not sure I even want to take the plunge. I have gotten very little stitching done lately so my silk gauze project is still on hold. Take care mel

  48. Well, that's really multi-tasking, lol. Your projects are all so awesome. But I particularly love Rachel. The reds in this sampler are so ourstanding without dominationg the other colours too much. A wonderful combination. I'm a "red" lover and I think, this chart has to come onto my wishlist.
