It's my girl's birthday today. She's all of 22 years old. A grownup for sure. She has moved on in her life. She has walked out of FitzRandolph Gate on her graduation day.
Along with good friends.
She has a guy in her life too.
She's begun her life in the real world -- a job, a car, an apartment.
But she still had to make sure to bring a certain someone along to her new digs.
She is loving her new life. She's even started cooking gourmet dinners.
She's become a lovely young woman, and we are so proud.
Happy birthday, bunny. I love you.
Happy birthday to your girl from me too, just happens way too quickly doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteAwww, what a sweet birthday post! Happy birthday to the girl child--or is that, girl woman?? ;) Or maybe woman child? Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteOH Margaret, tears to my eyes when I saw her little sweetie moved with her. As you may remember, my boy turned 19 this week too...and his little mouse is still on the bookshelf in his room and it moves sometimes so I know he acknowleges her existance. Boy, we couldn't go anywhere for several years with out her! Time moves so quick...hope you get some of her yummy dinner soon! And we've already emailed about not actually "seeing" our kiddos on their birthday - not sure if I like that much!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, the pictures of your daughter are sooo sweet! What a nice trip down memory lane, and I can tell how proud you are of her.
ReplyDeleteThursday was my 37th anniversary so a special day in our house as well.
