It took a good friend asking if I only did birthday posts for the kids to remind me that I had forgotten to post about a certain important someone's birthday.
Someone who has been going through such a hard time recently and yet been so cheerful and wonderful to everyone around him.
Someone who has always been there for me.
Someone who, poor thing, seems to have caught a cold on his birthday.
Someone who shares my memories with me and marvels with me that our children are seniors and not tiny tots.
What can I say, father type? I've been a forgetful wife. But it doesn't mean you don't mean the world to me.
Happy belated birthday, my love. You know I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
OMG, that cake looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteawww bless .. hope he had a good time and his cold is better ... any cake left??? love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh YUM...that cake looks so good. Thanks for sharing the BIG BOYS birthday!! LOL Hugs Margaret!

Hope he's feeling better.
Happy Belated Birthday greetings dear father type.
ReplyDelete<3 ... and you know you are not a bad wife at all...
ReplyDeleteMargaret, this is so sweet! :D
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he can be cheerful when sick. I am such a big baby at that point; I usually use it as proof that I am actually a man (you know the whole men-are-bigger-babies-than-babies bit?), but your DH is disproving that one!
Isn't it wonderful how one can be "Just Right" for another without having to be perfect at all? Many happy returns for all of you.
I believe we're all allowed to forget one birthday without collecting penalty points. ;) Best wishes your wonderful husband and I do hope he recovers quickly from his cold!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to the Father Type! May he have many birthday blessings!
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a keeper, Margaret! ;-)
What a trooper to be so cheerful when he's sick. I sure can't do that. Must be that fabulous cake and loving family!
